I have it on good authority that the FAW are to hold a meeting on Monday to discuss matters arising from the game in Wales.
Email received from FAW President himself after my email to him today:
Mr ----
Thanks for the e mail and appreciate your time towards the game
There is no one trying harder than me to change the structure of the FAW and only last week a draft report was submitted to the Council with possible changes, A meeting will be held soon to discuss this fully, indeed I have a meeting on Monday regarding the same issue
I am also disappointed at the results last night, it hurts me the same as you.
If you need to discuss anything with me I am as close as the telephone.
Thank
Trefor
FAW PRESIDENT
Fair play, at least he has taken the time to answer my email. Lets hope something comes of it all.

He seems to be one of the good guys, and hopefully one that will lead the reform of the FAW.

You are right Jules.
After his first email reply to me, I sent another email to him with my thoughts. Here is his reply:
Thanks for the reply
I started my football career at the very bottom and to serve at the very top of the game in my beloved country is beyond belief but be assured I have not forgotten where I have come from . On Sat mornings I try and see kids playing which shows how committed Iam. The only problem I have is that I can not go everywhere and that is sad.
As you see I am FULLY committed to changes within the FAW however I need to take my fellow councillor s with me. That is difficult. No one likes changes but if the FAW NEEDS to go forward in the fast moving world we do need to change.
We have only last week published a draft report on the way forward, with approx 85 recommendations, tomorrow Monday, I have a meeting of the panel so very soon I do hope it will be made public IF NOT ASK TO SEE It.
It is a slow process, some we can change in weeks some will take some time but hopefully sooner rather than later.reason for this is if some of the changes go through then there are changes in rules etc.
To a point how the players play how they are coached is mainly responsible of the manager and his team but I am also disappointed with performance but as you make a point that there is
Disappointment with the FAW so it is not an easy task to please everyone
The Chief Executive Jonathan Ford is fully committed with me and a small panel to move forward, with your help we can do it,I am sure
Some people think we get paid for our work, please that is not true, yes we do get expenses and an odd trip with teams but I do appreciate the members work. Also I realise how local teams are committed to the game, we should not forget that.
Once again please do contact me at any time, sometime it may be a day or so to reply but having just returned home from Montenegro after a flight from there to Cardiff and then a 5 hour train journey home I looked at my e mails as soon as I got in.
Need to speak then call at anytimeJust as we all thought - a few good un's trying to change things but a load of monoliths standing in the way for there own agendas/ego's.

haha, right, i'd like to see some of the expenses receipts. I honestly think that some of these people couldn't care one iota about Welsh football.

Email him back and in passing suggest that the WFA should approach Sir Alex Ferguson to do the Welsh job on a part-time basis.
Sounds mad but he must be missing the football buzz and this is a way of keeping his tabs in by getting involved every 3 months or so on International breaks. He could even groom is adopted son Ryan Giggs during an initial 2 year period with a view to taking over, honestly if you don't ask you don't get....
