Huddersfield Town spend almost half a million on agents' fees in last year say Football League report as Blackburn, Cardiff and Wolves top spending table

By Doug Thomson 6th Sep 2013

Huddersfield Town have more than doubled their spending on agents' fees in the last two years, new figures show.

A Football League report has revealed Town spent £459,670 on agents’ fees in the year up to June 30.

In the previous year, the spend was £213, 343.

Looking at the latest figures, seven Championship clubs – Leicester, Middlesbrough, Millwall, Charlton, Birmingham, Barnsley, Peterborough – spent less.

And Blackpool, the current leaders, didn’t pay out a penny to agents.

Blackburn were the biggest spenders on agents’ fees, with more than £3.5m splashed out despite only just avoiding relegation last term.

Rovers’ acquisitions included £8m striker Jordan Rhodes from Town.

2012/13 Season.

Pretty much agree.

you do wonder with some clubs though if its to get the best players or just to line certain peoples pockets. For some reason I can always imagine Harry Redknapps clubs spending a lot on agents.

Wolves spent almost the same as us and they went down to league one plus Blackburn spent a lot more than us and they nearly went down makes you think how good we did when you look at the top 3 spenders :ayatollah:

Some clubs won't do business with a player if they have an agent who wants cash, like Hartlepool.

Listened to the manager speak on SSN earlier.
