Embarrassing

Such a shame. All the outsiders of Welsh football claim Welsh football has never been so good due to Cardiff, Swansea, Wrexham and Newport's success but in all honesty our national team is underachieving massively. Our U21'S were class and missed out on qualifying for a tournament in a play-off and then on goals scored in a game against the group leaders under Brian Flynn. Geraint Williams is the manager now and that's saying something cos I'm not entirely sure who our U21 manager is it's that poorly advertised. We are shit at most levels

Ronnie I don't get it! That line up for the U21's looks fantastic on paper...
http://www.dragonsoccer.co.uk/newsite/i ... m=&ucat=7&Good leaders should be able to admit when they are wrong. Whoever made the baffling decision to out Brian Flynn, can you please man up and admit you were wrong. We should be begging for Flynny to come back to the youth set up.

Brian Flynn did a brilliant job. Does anyone know the full story about how, and why, he was replaced?

Aye it is a good line-up so something is going seriously wrong when you lose t a country who;s total population is 32 thousand & a team that has lost 95 games & never won until tonight.
The FAW are never going t admit there errors & making poor recruitment decisions are they , after all they are a bunch of old cretins with there very prominent snouts in the freebie trough & for many years this has been going on

Agreed Ronnie. What's frustrating is it's like an olirgarchy. Who puts these guys in power in the first place. The FAW's members should be elected in. They shouldn't just get in by cronyism and sit there for decades. There is no progressive thinking there at all.
I hope that makes sense.

One of the worse results for a Welsh team I can remember. Utter shambles.
Fri Sep 06, 2013 9:58 pm
If this result doesn't demand an enquiry into the FAW decision making, nothing will!

If you're talking of Coleman, then you're mistaken. He's not the U21 manager.

No idea about the circumstances but it's no coincidence that Flynn has found success everywhere he's gone. Rescued Doncaster and got them promoted and it wouldn't suprise me if a few gems come out of Donny in the next few years under his guidance. A true football man.

Getting rid of flynn was unbelievable. Toshack wasnt the best manager but he set up a system that worked and speed continued.
Obviously the FAW have just cut back everyone at every level and what could have been a golden generation are a nothing group againm

32 thousand folk in one country, that's perhaps the size of Merthyr yet they can put a team of young uns that beat what the whole of Wales can put together! I can't type anymore, how the f**k can we get rid of those idiots at the FAW? Disguised by the lot of them.

amazing with the academy we have got we can't get one player into the WALES under 21 side or even on the bench

This result is shocking for Welsh football. Gerraint Williams is a failed manager with Colchester, and a mate of Coleman's. this says it all. The sooner there's an enquiry by the FA into the whole management set up the better. If we offer Coleman a new contract we are stuck for another 4 years. He has a good squad that needs a quality Manager to guide them.
