Chris Coleman won't be at the press conference because of passport issue. Missed flight this morning + arrives later.

Can't he stay here? We might actually win the game without him

I will never watch a Wales game again until that idiot is removed. The only Wales manager I have had time for over the last decade was mark Hughes and Gary speed. Gary speed stood up to the welsh fa who need to be removed!!! This is an example of how things are!!! It breaks my heart.

Nothing to do with the fact he's a Swansea boy, obviously! By the way, when you talk about about the ONLY wales manager you have had time for you can't then name two! The word "only" tends to suggest exclusivity. Understand now?

Give the guy a break Lads. How good was Speed early on ? He has improved lately so give him a chance. Or is it because he is a Jack that he will never be accepted. Hartson can fook off though

How on earth will we qualify with that panto at the helm?

If we were having a chance at qualifying we wouldn't be having this conversation.

Half of the senior welsh players didn't want Coleman or the cronies at the fa!!! It's a mess.

I reckon bellers would give it another go if it was sorted out!!

Passport trouble? Lost his passport more like!

Chris Coleman missed his team's final training session in Macedonia because the Wales manager lost his passport and was unable to fly out of Cardiff on Thursday morning.

The 43-year-old was left behind by the Wales squad after discovering that his passport had gone missing overnight.

So, instead of flying to Skopje from Cardiff Airport, he was forced to drive to Newport to obtain a new passport before making the journey via Heathrow later in the day.

Thus, Coleman was unable to attend the pre-match press conference ahead of the final training session which he also failed to make.

Assistant manager Kit Symons met the media in place of him and said: "There were a couple of passport issues which needed to be resolved and they have been and he will be landing imminently.

"It was a minor issue which has been dealt with, it is sorted so there are no dramas.

"He will not make training but all the tactical stuff has been done during the week and it's just about the boys stretching their legs tonight, so it will not be a disruption.

"I have not spoken to him since this morning, I am sure he will bat it off and get on with it and not be embarrassed.

"It is not going to affect the set-up for the game in any way, shape or form.

"It is unfortunate and we do not want it happening again. But it is not the end of the world and it will be no excuse if we do not perform."

Friday's Group A World Cup qualifying tie against Macedonia, at the Philip II Arena, kicks off at 6pm.

Skipper Ashley Williams added: "Most people did not realise anything was wrong until we were on the plane.

"I don't think it is too much of a big deal to be honest, it is something that can happen to any of us, we are all human."

Very true, nothing against Coleman he comes across as a nice bloke & fair play being from Swansea he is very diplomatic about us but he is lacking in any tactical nous & I worry about our chances of qualifying for Euro 2016 with him at the helm probably our greatest chance of qualifying for a tournament in the modern era & especially with the talent at his disposal.
But sadly I think the fools at the FAW have made up there minds about offering him another contract even though the performances of the team have been poor & probably renew that oaf Hartson's contract.

This passport fiasco is all very embarassing & unproffessional
But did not Coleman have an incident when he was a manager in Greece when he was supposed t attend a press conference but was waiting for the washing machine but it transpires afterwards that he was pissed from the night before?

Re: Chris Coleman

I'm behind Coleman, started off terrible, just like Speedo did. He's started to turn things around a bit, we play some decent football but just need someone who can score goals.
Also we need players who are committed, I can see Bale being the next Giggs and we all know what Collins is like.

I still think we'll qualify for France though since its 24 teams instead of 16 :malky: :ayatollah:

Our only competitive wins under Coleman have come against a below average Scotland and that's saying something. He's never achieved anything in his career and his tactical skills are awful.

It's the FAW, not the FA. 'FA' is usually reserved for the English football association. Why so many people insist on calling the FAW the 'Welsh FA' or 'FA' is frankly baffling.

Coleman's lacking in tactical nous? Go on then, explain exactly what he's lacking. You must have a coaching licence.

And as for the team's performances in the last two qualifiers, they could hardly be described as 'poor'.

So this fiasco is 'embarrassing', is it? Not really, nobody seems to have made much fuss over it.

Really? Bale turns up for just about every game. He turned up the other day before the game against Ireland to do some training on his own with the physio, despite not having played for a month, and in spite of having no chance of playing in the game. Giggs would never have done that.

By the way, you completely mixed up the end of your sentence and it's 'your', not 'you're'.

Scotland may well be 'below average' most of the time, though they did run England close the other day, and did beat Croatia AWAY in their last qualifier.

Oh, hold on, you've mentioned 'tactical'. Another qualified coach then? Tell us, what is he doing wrong, and what would you do differently? Go on, enlighten us.
