Cardiff City star Steven Caulker injured on England duty
The Bluebirds centre-back turned an ankle in training and will miss Friday's home clash with Moldova at Wembley.
Steven Caulker is injured
Cardiff City defender Steven Caulker has been ruled out of tomorrow's clash against Moldova at Wembley, writes Rory Benson.
The 21-year-old Bluebird turned his ankle in training and manager Roy Hodgson has announced that he will not be fit for the Three Lions' match.
Hodgson, however, also went on to say that the Cardiff star should be fit for England's crucial World Cup qualifying match against Ukraine next week.
Caulker, who made 26 appearances during a loan spell at Swansea two years ago, was set to make his second appearance for the national side after injuries to Glen Johnson and Phil Jones.
He was handed his debut in a 4-2 loss to Sweden in 2012, a game in which he scored England's second, although the match will be remembered for the final goal, Zlatan Ibrahimovic's spectacular 30-yard over-head kick.
Caulker has become the second casualty for England as Daniel Sturridge is still recovering from a thigh strain that he picked up in Liverpool's win over arch-rivals Manchester United on Sunday.

Perhaps they should rest him for both just in case. And lose.
