A forum for all things Cardiff City

On Sky Saturday afternoon during the Everton game he commented that if people thought Stoke was an electric and intimidating place to visit and their famous 12th man, then the atmosphere at Cardiff City has taken it to a whole new level

Love hearing things like that

its makes you think, if the new stadium is a intimidating place, at the moment. imagine what ninian would of been like
Wed Sep 04, 2013 8:37 pm
Never thought I'd hear someone say that about our place
Promotion has definitely lifted the atmosphere massively

Ninian would've been like the Leeds game for every match!

Great to see us actually raise the bar with atmo's as a Prem team. Was nervous we wouldn't but so far both games we have been electric.

Great to hear this - loved Ninian but tbh we ain't there anymore we are at the CCS. That is our home now - the English think we are better than Stoke, let us make sure we keep the faith and back ourselves in our home.
Up the City!

Must be the new plastic supporters making all the noise.
Or have the "hardcore" supporters found the voices they seemed to have lost since we moved into the new stadium?

Who'd have thought it aye with all these thousands and thousands of plastics showing up without their Rochdale stubs from back in the day?

So true. People go on about the amazing support yet last season we could barely fill the stadium full and i'm sure we all remember when the red scarfs were thrown on the pitch after losing to Brighton.
Bring the excuses, but that is shameful.

No it wouldnt cos we were only allowed about 12,000 by the end of our days there! And we couldnt have played in the Premiership at Ninian.

We would only been allowed an eleven thousand capacity if we stayed, and that's a fact.

Yeh, eighteen scarves thrown on the pitch and twenty three thousand taken home by fans.

He might have said something right for once
He's still the worst f*cking pundit out there!

It's definitely around February or March Paul and I think the Claw got his date mixed up with the starting work date!

When the roof comes off the Ninian I doubt it'll make a difference. I'm sat in the grandstand and its the Canton who are creating this newly found amazing atmosphere. They've created a Kop/Curva all of their own. More scarfs, flags and banners and then we'll be really talking

the ninian faithfull possibly have a dislike for the fresh faces / toffs/kids/mothers/sisters the lot. a vast percentage of our vocal support, especially the more hostile songs in ninian were made up of the more hooligan culture within the grange/grandstand.
that was our stadium buzz moving to CCS took that away and alot fans with it

He is paid to hype the sport up and he also talks a lot of shite. Trust me the atmosphere isn't a patch on liverpool or the old ninian park

Ninian Park wasn't the fans utopia some of you make it out to be. It was good on its day but it had its limitations and thanks to health and safety which 99% of you love and adore we had to move. Had health and safety stayed away then the club could fit in 50,000 plus and then yes it'd be electric the atmosphere but if we were to take it and put it in today's world it would have been drab.
The best thing about Ninian was how close to the pitch you were and the viewpoint. It just made the whole spectacle come across in a different light.

Apart from the Leeds game, the CCS against Man City was a better atmosphere than anything I witnessed in 30 years at Ninian Park by a mile

canton end was loud against everton - but hopefully more of the ninian stand will join in with the songs - makes a hell of a difference....

Ninian has been disappointing so far this season IMO

i wouldnt mind those free paper clacker things we had against leicester given out to maybe ... ? just an idea
Thu Sep 05, 2013 1:09 pm
even if they were just given out in the family stand for kids - all helps towards an atmosphere

Im enjoying the general match day buzz again tbh, going to football knowing no matter the result we'll get behind the team and just try and enjoy it in the big time.
Its different to every other season at CCS as the expectation and all these new fans wanting premier league football, and now we've got it the pressure is completely off the team
Thu Sep 05, 2013 2:10 pm
If we get some safe standing behind a goal, it will be incredible noise, until then, new seating width means that people's voice boxes are too far away from each other and the noise is lost.
