Wed Sep 04, 2013 5:33 pm

Only 10 days away now.

September 14th 2014 it all happens.

Who's winning this one?

I got my money on Floyd in an accumulator so hopefully he pulls it off.

Im going for Mayweather on points.

Tough call. Canelo can seriously hit and I think it'll be alot closer than some pundits think.i can't wait for this personally.

Canelo has knocked out opponents natural to the weight with just a jab, so there's no disputing his power.
You only have to look at his disposal of his previous opponent Trout.

Floyd has never been tested in my opinion since he fought Jose Louis Castillo a good while ago.
Castillo is the closest fighter to get close to beating him.
Oscar was far to weight drained when he faced him and was well passed his best.

Pretty boy has a truly magnificent defense and although he was caught flush by Mosely, Sugar Shane was toyed with afterwards.
If Canelo catches Floyd flush we will see how great the great one truely is.

I'm following suit and saying Money May by points...

If Canelo makes it a brawl early doors he's in with a good chance.

So Mayweather on points.

Mayweather is getting old mind he will be 37 in febuary, He surely given his lifestyle cant give as much as he use too, but he has defence so he's usually good for a points win.

what also baffles me is people still think hes at the top of his game, where as barrera fought khan and khan got no credit for it because barrera was 35, yet floyds 36 and still expected to be the biggest talent on the big stage.

same with roy jones jr, and hopkins etc, hes now approaching his twighlight I'm surprised by this

Its a tough one just because we havent seen mayweather fight for so long. Im sure he still has enough left to win the fight. Canelo will be a lot bigger and stronger in the fight and you would think he would be hungry but despite his ability I have questioned his hunger in previous fights.
Mayweather on points for me
With 116-112 (8-4).
Or a canelo tko due to landing a right hand mayweather cant recover from

Thats because its not to do with age its to do with performance. For example, shane mosley was seen as past his peak, then he beat the f**k out of margacheato and he was at his best again. And now hes past it again

This. If you watch All Access you'll see that Floyd is still the calculated and methodical boxer he has always been. Floyd's training is just unreal. I urge anyone who hasn't watched part one and two yet to do so because it'll give you a great insight into each boxers ways.

I can see Floyd just avoiding Canelo all night and making him miss.

Miguel Cotto gave FM a good scrap mind. Cant see FM losing, he's too intelligent, but SC is going to be a superstar!

Thing is Floyd is and always has been in fighting shape.
He doesn't go in and out of training camps. Sometimes he is more thorough in his preparations but in general he has the same routine all year round.

No other fighter currently active does this to my knowledge.

Adrien Broner but he's part of TMT.

Nah,Broner bases his style on MoneyMay, but he is nowhere near the same level of dedication of training.

He follows the same training regime with Roger Mayweather FFS. It was on All Access. :laughing5:

He is in training camp himself.

What I am saying is Floyd is in a fighting shape 24/7. He could take a fight at very short notice and be in the best condition simply because he has dedicated his entire life to the game.
Go watch Mayweather Hatton 24/7 and you see Floyd saying "even when I ain't got no fight,I will be hitting the gym when potential opponents are tucking themselves into bed". He has been seen at party's and fund raisers in Vegas then 30 mins later he is tweeting from the gym.

Not a fighter like him around,he trains everyday 365, and trains like he ain't got a dime. Yeah he is mr flashy for the camera, but away from the camera you can bet your ass he is all business...

I agree with you on that but him and Broner both have the same training regimes. Floyd is a lot more dedicated than most and that's why he's been at the top of his game but he ain't going to last forever and he's a money man so needs to create someone who can follow in his footsteps and bring in the dollar for Mayweather Promotions. He's the cleverest boxer of all time when it comes to business acumen if you ask me and knows how to pull all the strings to his advantage.

Unfortunately there's questions being asked of Broner and 2 boxers in Mayweather's camp have tested positive for banned substances in the last year alone. All of Floyd's hopes, once his current deal is up, are pinned on Broner and that's why he's got Broner on the same regime as him and has Roger training him personally.
