Cards on the table...

Without blinkers on, what a great Summer for both our clubs...

Down here at the Swans, we got most of our transfer business out of the way early due to the Europa qualifiers, and we go into the season intact. It seems that Laudrup has got the signings that he wanted, and just as importantly, we held on to the players that we wanted to hold onto. I honestly believe it's the strongest Swans squad I have ever known, and although we may be a bit stretched with the extra games, I'll settle for these days after nearly 30 years of watching us struggle on and off the pitch.

As for you lot, I saw your game against Everton at the weekend and I also think that you'll be fine judging by what I watched. (Results against teams like Man City are just there to be enjoyed by all) You all seem happy enough with your transfer dealings, and I've said it before on here, you've got a good manager up there. I honestly think you'll survive with quite a bit to spare.

With all that in mind, roll on November and the first derby match, yet more world wide exposure for both South Wales clubs, what a difference to when I first started watching the football in the late 80's...

Only good Jack on the forum. Its a shame the others aren't as intellectual as you.

All the best and cheers for your viewpoint. Good articulate post. Can't wait for derby day of course.

Finally a Jack who talks some sense. Agree with a lot of what you say in regards to Manchester City result is there just to enjoy. Realistically we should not be taking 3pts of them. I think our transfer dealings have shocked quite a few people. Kim Bo and Medel could easily be playing in top 4/5 teams in the premier league. As for yourselfs watched Bony a bit and he doesnt look great at the moment for price you paid but suppose you have to give him time to settle etc etc.... I think we will both survive comfortably and i see alot of predictions have changed by pundits to where we will finish after our last 2 performances. And people are now saying Cardiff Swansea will be a lot closer than people think in regards to our games against eachother and in the table. But we will see it is going to be a long season.

Malky can now play his way in the premier league, the way we played last year was just to get us out of that league and people can not judge us on that.

Onwards and Upwards but for sure the English are f*cking pissed off we are doing well. Love the banter in work.
