Can't believe that Palace have signed 18 players in the summer transfer window. They also just missed out on Bendtner because Arsenal could not get a replacement striker in time.
Does so many signings suggest a bit of panic buying? particularly in view of the fact that some of their original targets turned them down. One has to ask how do you pick your best team and create ' a team' out of so many new faces?
It may well work out for them but like Sunderland with 14 new signings it may take time for Palace to form 'a team'.

It's a disaster... I think Hull as well have signed too many... Malky has been good at integrating players... The problem when you buy other players who were starting at their previous clubs is that they'll be expected the same at their new one too so causes disharmony in the existing squad...

A few decent signings in fairness, with some already decent players

Stoke City striker Cameron Jerome has joined Crystal Palace for the remainder of the season on a loan deal.
The 27-year-old was the final addition in a flurry of last-minute activity for Ian Holloway's side, with defender Adrian Mariappa and Scotland international Barry Bannan also coming in on deadline day.
His arrival marks the 14th for the newly promoted club during the window, and could signal a chance at first-team football for the striker who made just eight Premier League starts for Stoke last season.
And after playing less than 10 minutes for the club in the opening three matches of the new campaign, the former England Under-21 international will look to make an impact once again.
He will be hoping to make his bow on September 14 when Palace visit Old Trafford to pit themselves against Manchester United.
And following their first victory of the new season against Sunderland on Saturday, which came courtesy of goals from Danny Gabbidon, Dwight Gayle and Stuart O'Keefe, they will seek to build on the momentum.
Jerome moved to Stoke on deadline day in August 2011, going on to score 12 goals in 67 appearances.

To be fair I wouldn't call it panic buying, they had a pretty poor squad before and so needed more bodies.
They have bought in a number of players with prem experience and tbh I think they currently have a team which is on par with our.
Having said that, think we'll both be scrapping it out at the bottom.

I have to be honest and admit that i don't like ollie (the runt) especially since the play off final defeat against Blackpool and even now i feel that he jumped ship like the rat he is and joined Palarse after someone had already done all the hard work for him.
I read on the BBC Premier League page that ollie has said himself that player's were being signed which he had no knowledge of. Signing so many new player's really can't make no sense to me because there is the academy, the original squad and new recruits with which to try and form a squad that will enable Palarse's survival in the Premiership.
Will be hoping ollie and his merry band of recruits are playing Championship football asap while the Bluebirds continue to prosper in the Premiership for years to come.

For a club that thrives on the academy which has got them out of trouble, example selling Zaha which earned them a few bob, it's beyond me why they can't give a few youth players a chance, considering they've made some good talent, they've brought in fringe PL players and Championship players. Our spending has differed from them and we will sound biased but we've gone for players of a higher quality over quantity which is good in a way because it pushes the lesser quality players to up their game even more, train as hard as they can and become a better player in the process.
