I think we've done very very well, never thought we would get in so many top quality players.
Now..... Who we signing in January?!!?
Edit: still stand by my original prediction of 14th

17th - and I would 100% take that.
Really happy with the signings we've made, Caulker and Medel in particular.

I'm happy with the signings. I'm also happy that we possibly have a few quid left for the January window. I think we'll finish about 13th.

overall very happy with the signings Medel and Caulker are class acts, hopefully once Corneilus is fit and gets a run of games he will show why we paid so much, Odemwingie once he's match fit will be a great signing and offers us cover both wide and upfront, gutted we missed out on Montero but the quality of players we got in much better than I was expecting at start of the summer

Corneilius and Brayford are my only doubts

Why?? They've been injured and haven't had a chance yet
We can't judge them..

Stunned would be the word. Thought last season was the good times as a City fan since late '70's. The Bluebird Has Landed.

Don't know why and I hope I'm wrong but something tells me that Corneilius is going to be a flop and Brayford willbe out in the January transfer window. Now before people jump on this comment I really do hope I eat humble pie

Judging by our signings, I reckon we'll be safe.
Mon Sep 02, 2013 11:49 pm
The signings have been amazing little disappointed we didn't get an out and out winger but in malky we trust
think well be easily safe around 14th
Mon Sep 02, 2013 11:51 pm
Not happy to be honest. No out and out winger.
Mon Sep 02, 2013 11:52 pm
We may not have signed Montero, Ince or Lennon... but we've done very well without them
Would have been great to get one, but I'm still very optimistic and don't really mind

Chuffed to bits, Caulker, Medel & Odemwingie top Premier League signings.
The others are capable too, could be a very good side.
I'd be happy with 15th but think we'll get 11th or 12th.

Malky's made some very good signings but I agree with Military Junta, Cornelius seems like a raw talent and I doubt we'll see him make an impression at this level until around Christmas time, if he's still looking off the pace then then I would consider his signing a bad decision. But we all have our own opinions and lots on here I'm sure will feel the opposite to me.

If Cornelius had a cheaper price tag than I could understand the gamble much more but at the level the club are at the moment it is one hell of a gamble for a player which lets be honest hasn't played much better than Championship level

lol,not reallybut Ithink we could have picked up a couple of experienced premier league players for the amount we paid for Cornelius

Cornelius... Wasn't he on a recommendation from Fergie?
Like that one Italian or whatever, he turned out well

Jefferson Montero in January, as he went nowhere.

I reckon we will be in about 14th/15th place come the end of the season.
Ok now the window has closed , will Malky go for anyone on the loan window ,with a view to buy ?
Tue Sep 03, 2013 6:19 am
I think we will finish 15th with the players we brought in, it would of been nice to have an out and out winger to give us that width, but more than happy with what we got at the moment. Hope we don't have any injury's to any of our players

Overall some very good signings this summer. Appears as though 2 of the 8 are for the future (Moore & Amandarain).
Think MM has missed a trick by not signing an out an out wide man with pace. Many of the Premiership teams thrive on pace and width and with MM's reluctance to play Noone we have none. This will make us a bit more predictable to the opposition but saying that some of the signings have been top draw.

There is no loan window. We can only sign free agents until the January window

That's the key word for me - pace. Not sure why we went for players like Ince and montero then didn't get a winger in. I think this will cost us unless noone can step up. Can't see him troubling the best defences though.
Ill go for an optimistic 17th!

Overall I think we have done great buisness, for a newly promoted club it was always going to be hard to get biggish names. But with Caulker and Medel we have punched above our weight

My prediction is 13th
