Would have been a quality signing for us.

Shocked he's gone to QPR.

Money money money, plus Harry is there. I agree though would have been a good signing for us.

Ekotto is only it in for the money. He doesn't even care about football. The only thing that is surprising is the lack of depth at LB for Spurs.

I'm sure he's said in a interview this exact thing, says he doesn't even care about football but it's a good paying job.

So what if he said that, least he's honest about it.

Some people don't like there job but if it pays and keeps a roof over you're head then that's the main.

Where did I say there's a problem with him saying it??? I was simply stating that he's said it before...

I wouldn't have wanted him anyway. Would cost too much and we don't need LB's IMO.

Here's the interview: http://www.theguardian.com/football/201 ... am-hotspur

I respect him for having the balls to be honest. Assou-Ekotto is one of the best left backs in the Premiership, so for QPR to sign him is an incredible coup. Assou-Ekotto is Spurs' best left back imo, how Rose is currently ahead of him I do not know!

He's pacey, good on the ball and has been ever present in a team getting into Europe until this season. I haven't seen him make many mistakes and if he was suspect at LB, he would have been dropped a long time ago. With your limited football knowledge thinking the SPL is far superior than the Championship, I don't take anything you say seriously anyway.

Queens Park Rangers have signed Tottenham full-back Benoit Assou-Ekotto on a season-long loan deal.

The Cameroon international is yet to make an appearance for Spurs in any of their opening three Premier League fixtures.

Famed for his nonchalant attitude to the game, Assou-Ekotto is known for taking risks on the football field.

His evident flair on the ball can provide an assist or cost his team a goal in equal measure, and his unreliability seems to have also cost him his place in the side as they push for Champions League qualification.

The 29-year-old has fallen down the pecking order at White Hart Lane since the appointment of Andre Villas-Boas, and now finds himself behind England youngster Danny Rose in Spurs’ starting line-up.

And the defender has dropped into the Championship to be reunited with former Spurs boss Harry Redknapp at QPR, as the Rangers manager aims to get his side back into the top flight.

Meanwhile, Redknapp has also managed to sign Spurs starlet Tom Carroll, also on a season-long loan.

The 21-year-old has impressed for Tottenham's second-string sides in their Europa League and domestic cup campaigns and Redknapp believes he can develop into one of the country's best midfielders.

"He's a player I fully expect to go to the very top of the game - he's a future England international," The R’s boss told the club’s official website.

"I played him at Spurs in Europe and he was fantastic for me. He's got all the attributes to be a top, top player.

What? I was saying how it isn't a shock seen as he is only in it for the money. Also, where did I say it was wrong that he is only in it for the money? You need to read posts properly.
