Updated " Great Player/Bad Attitude ? ? " " BUT QUALITY "

WBA fans on FB are saying our new signing Peter Odemwingie :o
He's a great player with a bad attitude should score you a few goals, can be quality on his day and when he wants to be.

My reply, Malky will sort that out, thats guaranteed  :malky: :ayatollah:

My opinion, I have total Faith in Malky and he knows how to find quality  :malky:

Replies from WBA fan.

Just like a big kid if he doesn't get his own way ,but if he's the main guy he could score you a load of goals but you have to ask why every club he plays for get rid of him.
Even Nigeria will not play him as he fell out with there manager on a plus side he seems to have one or two good seasons before he kicks of and at 32 that's all he's probably got left plus you have Bellamy who will give him a slap lol

UPDATED

Malky has just done an interview regarding him and Malky states he is " delighted with his signing and feels he is one of the best he has signed "  :malky:

can someone explain this apparent bad attitude? i dont get it

Re: " GREAT PLAYER/BAD ATTITUDE ? "

Bad attitude because WBA and fans teated him like rubbish. They hung him out to dry on the QPR fiasco.

Re: " GREAT PLAYER/BAD ATTITUDE ? "

Mon Sep 02, 2013 5:39 pm

Is this bad attitude tag purely based on that transfer deadline day fiasco? If so, that's not a bad attitude, that's just poor advice and being a bit stupid.

Re: " GREAT PLAYER/BAD ATTITUDE ? "

Mon Sep 02, 2013 5:39 pm

I think he's been branded bad attitude for the QPR thing but I'm sure his agent would have had a big involvement in that deal.

Why would a player drive to a club without confirmation that the deal was close/done from his agent?

they are probably still bitter after the January Transfer window and the QPR thing which wasnt all his fault not that WBA ever let him forget about it

To be honest if our player did what he did I doubt many would have a good word to say about him.

We can judge him on how he is here, I'm happy with the signing. Shame if we can't get one more player in tho

Understand that but it wasnt his fault he went where his agent told him to go but embarrassment does funny things to people which would probably be passed off as bad attitude

It was also a bit stupid of him let's be honest, I'm sure he could have parked up around the corner. He isn't the first player to do it but first to get caught.

all of which will make the embarrassment factor all the greater, there was nothing on sky sports that he was going to sign then he turns up at QPR the presenter must have thought his ship had come in with an absolute exclusive and Harry is doing it again.

then QPR rightly or wrongly wouldnt let him in the building whist he gets harassed by the press.

That video clip of him riding in in his Range Rover to save Rangers will haunt him for the remaining days of his career. I assume Malky has looked deep into his eyes to see if he is willing to put a full "Malky" shift in every game he is called upon. He is here, so lets hope he still has the hunger to prove the doubters wrong.

Good player, badly advised last time around.
Just saw his agent on SSN, what a wet blanket!

Got told today that WBA coaches have never had an issue with Odemwingie but the player had a fall out with Pearce the chairman and his West Brom career went downhill from there.

I had a private message as well stating he will be a star signing as long as your manager keeps a tight reign on him.
And Malky we know will   :malky: :malky:

never heard of him having a attitude before the QPR fiasco, his agent and qpr made him look like a prat and that's it and peter did look like a idiot on twitter but all he was doing was defending himself

Disappointed with this signature, I would have preferred Callum MCmanaman plus odemwingies preferred destination was Swansea

So am I Carl, Malky doesnt sign big heads like Dave Jones did, I was just posting what WBA fans had to say, some sour grapes, but some seem genuine. Everyone entitled to their opinions

Dave Jones was a great manager

I won't start that one again

I thought the jacks would be on here saying how shit Odemwingie is but two days ago when they believed they had him, he was brilliant

I'm pretty sure Malky wouldn't have signed him if he didn't think he could control him. A proven Premier League goalscorer at a fair price. Good deal Malky :malky:

The fans have not been happy with him way before the QPR debacle. Most of it was because of his poor attitude in training and his lack of interest and motivation when playing for them. I know a couple of WBA fans and they all have said the same, that he is a great goalscorer but when he doesn't score he does not do much else. Also, they have said that more often than not he is very greedy and rather doing what is best for the team, he does what is best for him. Personally, what they have said about him will not make my mind up about him. As i always like to judge a new player not from the past, but i like to see them playing for us after at least 10 games before passing any judgment. Welcome to Cardiff Peter, you are going to love it here.

Maybe worth wiping the slate clean and starting a fresh . I'm sure he's going to need time to settle and get match fit and I don't expect to see him until the beginning of October. Lets judge him on what he does and not what he's done.

I wonder what his salary is? Transfer deadline feed on BBC Sport suggests at WBA he was on circa £60,000 / week.

Decent purchase IMO.
