Stupid singing that version I sing the true welsh version at rugby games and to change it to that is beyond me.

Mindless, f*cking idiotic, we're welsh, you'd expect some English welsh haters to sing that but not fellow welshman.

Sort it out !!

No other country sings that song, its a classic sang by welsh male voice choirs.

It is a welsh rugby song.

Therefore welsh

We take the piss out of Swansea for singing it because it's a rugby song. It's not a song for Wales, it's a song for the Wales rugby team.

Male voice choirs? I thought it was a max Boyce comedy song about rugby?

I know great to take the piss out of the jacks.

Can't you see this makes a mockery of a great welsh song, yes it is associated with rugby but I'd say as much associated with rugby as it is Wales. Especially to the English.

How many of your family and friends watch and support the welsh rugby team.
How many of them sing it with pride when playing the English the French the Irish the Scottish.

We're the capital in Wales in my opinion it's a disgrace to be changing the words to that and trying to rinse Swansea over. Surely we can be more imaginative and not use ruin a great welsh song.

Strong view on this one.

How would you feel if the English turned that song against us cardiff and sang that at cardiff matches or the rugby 'it wouldn't happen in the rugby though'.

You seem to think that it's a Welsh song that's sung at Wales rugby matches but that's not the case at all.

Look up the lyrics. It's a song for the Wales rugby team. Not a song for Wales, just a song for the Wales rugby team. Nothing more or less.

If we changed the Welsh national anthem then fair enough but we changed a Wales RUGBY song

rugby or not its still a welsh song sung by a welsh bloke, just because you hate rugby doesn't all of a sudden make it alright!

Then lets leave as such a song and not something you should be ashamed about! I love The Craic but that is just trashy and cheap .

Personally I think it's a crap song for football and it wouldn't bother me us adopting it to take the piss. Having said that, I don't think the current words are right and I for one don't sing it

Re: hyms & arias

No place for that egg chasing nonsense in a football ground ( both versions ) And I don’t think the true Swansea supporters really like it down there. It looks like it was started by ex rugby supporting plastics. If we are going to ‘adopt’ a song from a local singer then surly it should be Cardiff born, Cardiff bred by Frank Hennessy

The jacks are a bunch of f*cking plumbs for singing it at the football. Should be left to the rugby. They couldn't get anything better themselves so have adopted it.

Cardiff sang it in the 80s along with bread of heaven. .
Ita a song were young and old can sing! Man or woman.
It sounds great when 44000 jacks sang it at wembley, and sound hood when 20000 sing at the lib.
Fans all over comment on it and even said was the best and most passionate song at football grounds.
It lifts the players .
Funny how its only u vermin that dislike it.
(A bit of jealousy I think)
