Stadium Drinks

Sun Sep 01, 2013 1:11 pm

I Usually buy a coffee at the stadium to take up to my seat, I went to get one yesterday and they are now £2.80 a cup,
Last season they were £2.20 and the season before £2.00

So that's fine they can charge what they want....but they won't be getting that price off me this season.

I don't drink alcohol anymore but i dread to think how much a pint is in there.

I feel they are taking the piss and it won't encourage fans to get in there early so it's they're loss.

Didn't Vinny T want to buy out the catering contract ???? He knows a thing or two about franchised fast food outlets.

Never buy a drink or food in there, unless its bought for me, well over priced and crap food/drink in my opinion.

The strongbow genuinely tasted like it had already been passed through someone and put back into my cup...

Hope the club gets hold of the contract soon.

The beer, food and drink is dire for the money!

Get a bit of Kenny's roasters, papa John's and whatever other foody franchises Tan has under his belt on the go at the stadium!

I bought a cup of tea there few weeks back, no milk left, took it back and I said I didn't want it if there's no milk but was told there's a "whiten agent" at the bottom of the cup. ???? Whitening agent? £2.80 and not even the right ingredients for a cup of tea :)

My experience so far,Mars Duo in the stadium £1.10 :o So before the match i went to Asda where i picked one up for 66p.
Fancied an actually Coca-Cola instead of the Pepsi (yes im that sad) 1.18 although it goes flat because you must take the lid off ;)
Just shows the mark-up they make,or how good a business opportunity it could be

I'll get my boy a hot-dog or chips at HT if he fancies it but overall its expensive and poor quality. I always bring drinks in as it makes no sense in paying double for soft drinks. I believe the contract is run by Compass who are shitesters so the sooner they're out of there the better. Anyway, at Ninian in the early 80's you couldn't beat a polystyrene cup of Bovril which had been heated to the temperature of the sun along with a stale cheese sarnie that tasted of nothing. Proper football food. Burp.

if you go on slopper road, you can get a hot dog and a bottle of coke £2 now thats value for money.

As for taking bottles in, what you need to do it take the cap off and put it in your pocket. once your inside put the cap back on works every time

But beer has gone up to £3.80 still!

I've got a telling off for drinking whiskey form my hip flask. Trouble is it's a Jeffery West real expensive hip flask I got for birthday last year so don't weant to risk getting it confiscated. Does look bad in the family end I suppose but it's lovely on a cold winter game!
