Looking at it on MOTD

Baines/Medel incident was deffo not a pen.....although I could have understood if it had been given. If you look close, Baines fell IN FRONT of the foot that made the challenge, and fell OVER the trailing leg. I honestly don't think Medel touched him.......maybe more luck than judgement though!

I couldn't believe that wasn't a pen yesterday, It sure looked like a pen to me on MOTD. :P Think the ref was to scared of Gary.

Agreed. Baines is a diving rat should get a 10 game ban. How dare he try get Medel sent off.

Sorry, I disagree. That was a stone wall penalty every day of the week!

It was a stone wall penalty IF Baines hadn't decided he was going down before contact was made. Savage made a good point about riding the previous table easily and could have rode the Medel one as well. The referee would have seen it as well.

I'm surprised it wasn't given at the time, but Robbie Savage was right in that Baines rode the first challenge, but possibly chose not to ride the Medel challenge as it was in the box...

The bottomline is that Medal should have stayed on his feet rather than take such a risk

Looked a certain penalty in normal speed but the replays showed he did dive, we were lucky to get away with it, but after the last ten years we are due a load of luck this season .....

What was Anthony Taylor (ref) like yesterday? Always has a shocker with us and kept stopping play a lot. This pissed off both teams (Everton home last season) and he looked way unfit. Couldn't keep up with the high tempo at all.
