GOT TO ADMIRE YOUR PASSION FOR ALL THINGS...!

Sun Sep 01, 2013 12:20 am

Cardiff in the PL. As I had to be in work for tonight's shift, I left the Stadium 10minutes before the end of the Game. Got let out of Gate 4 Entrance. Anyway, as I got out to the Car Park, a City fan came rushing passed me to the Steward who let me out. He had his Red City top on and pleaded for this steward to let him in for the final minutes of it. I could hear him say: " please please can you let me in, I have just got home from france!!  :laughing5:  " Could only happen in Cardiff.

What's the reference to colour of his top? Has no relevance to the story?

I KNOW IT WAS NOT RELEVANT. IT WAS WHAT I REMEMBERED!

Kudos to the guy for trying to get to the game even after travelling back from abroad. Passion for his team.

I'd have gone straight home, kicked my shoes off and stuck on final score.

Guys that was me! The ferry left Caen Ouistreham at 08:15am French time and arrived at Portsmouth at 1:15pm uk time. By the time we got off the ferry and through customs it was 1:45pm and all I could think of was getting to Cardiff asap. There was a burnt out van on junction 33 too which caused a delay and I was going mad!! But after parking near Asda I run off to the stadium as my wife went to get some things in asda and arriving outside the stadium I found the turnstiles all closed. After speaking to a couple of people I saw a gate open and pleaded to be let in showing my season ticket, explaining to the steward that I have just gotten back from France. But I was desperate to see the City particularly after missing last Sunday's game.

You could at least finish the story. Did they let you in? Did you reach your seat before the whistle blew for full time? Some sort of comment on the play / atmosphere. Was it worth it? Had your wife finished the shopping when you got out?

Yes some lovely lady steward let me in, I got to see around 13 minutes of the game. What I did see the game seemed evenly balanced with play moving from one end to the other as both us and Everton went for the win. The atmosphere seemed very good. And my wife had indeed finished getting a few things when I got out of the stadium. I was just desperate to see some of the game yesterday. :ayatollah:

That's good, we all like a happy ending - at least for City fans
