Malkys List..

Sat Aug 31, 2013 11:06 pm

Surely the players we have signed over the last few days and the ones that are nearing signing for us are way down the list on Malkys original targets??
Do you think he has been shunned by his original targets or have agents scuppered the deals on potential signings.

I heard today he'd missed out on his top 5. Wonder who they were

I hope he isn't panic buying and his acquisitions turn out to be quality signings.

Malky is going for top quality players so no doubt we haven't got the top targets but I'm sure he expected that to happen.

Shoot for the moon and you'll fall amongst the stars. :old: :malky:

Since Malky's been at the helm he's brought in a ton of players and the amount of flops that he has signed could be counted on one hand. Trust in Malky!! :malky: :malky:

So Medel and Caulker were not in his Top 5

:D

They we're his no. 1 targets I think. MM has said he thought he had not chance of getting Gary so he went onto other targets and also said he'd been stacking Caulker for years but he'd always been out of reach :malky: :ayatollah:

How could we, the fans, possibly know the answer to this?!

Very surprised of Caulker wasn't.

We know he bid for wanyama and Coupe before medel.

We know he wanted Ince and I bet a few more wingers down the list now.

Shite joke.

Firstly it was always going to be difficult to attract our top targets this season for various reasons like Ince turning us down because he thinks he is better than us, the Celtic lad who's name I can't spell because we wouldn't stump up the cash & Capoue because he went to Spurs who lets face it are a far bigger club than us.
But if Caulker & pit bull are plan B then I will settle for that ;) if we can establish ourselves this season then next summer I would fully expect us to get two or three of our top targets :thumbright:

Panic buying even tho malky said he has been following Kevin-Theophile for over a year

Capoue looks good but not sure he could better Medel and definitely am happy with Medel over Wanyama... We wouldn't have bought more than 1 of these 3 players so forget the others now...

Exactly, if we didn't get our top targets which to be honest was most likely expected then it just goes to show what a good and in depth job the recruitment team have done.

Was'nt Manero a target before Caulker? Or was that just paper talk.

Not sure mate, don't really remember that rumour but we have been linked with so many players

The signing of Caulker tho as impressed me the most, I didn't think we would have a chance and he would be pushing through at spurs.

Totally agree with you. A masterstroke by Malky and his team. :malky: :ayatollah:
