Should have thought before sh1t-stirring

Fri Aug 30, 2013 12:19 pm

Dortmund's Kevin Großkreutz is known for his stupid comments and childish remarks, he was born and raised in Dortmund and admits he hates local rivals Schalke.

In an interview before a derby game he answered this question:
"What would you do, if your son became a Schalke fan?"

with

"I would send him to a children's home!"

Well... Schalke's Jermaine Jones didn't find that one particulary funny, as he had to live in a children's home for some time as a kid, as his family had serious problems...

here's Jones' answer to Großkreutz in the following match... :D

Schalke signed AC Milan's Kevin Price Boateng today, for a fee of 12 million Euros; the midfielder signed a 4 year contract...

Boateng & Jones... Großkreutz - you're dead...

Schalke also signed German international Dennis Aogo from Hamburg on a one year loan deal plus buy-option...

Jones sounds like one of these people who looks for things to be offended by...

The remark was clearly made in jest. It's getting to the point where humour is being sanitised out of society in case random people are offended all the time.

Uh, kids who have been brought up in kids homes it is usually not their doing. They most likely had no choice in the matter and basically are people who have to start life at a disadvantage. The fact that Jones stood behind the starting line of life and now is doing something all of us dream about tells me he has more balls than any of us on here. Even more so that he sticks up for those that share his start in life.

There are certain things in life you don't mock and as far as I am concerned children welfare be it a childs home, fostering or other associated organisations you just don't look down on. I count myself lucky I never needed one. It surprises me other do that but then again what do you expect from spoilt brats who most likely have never had their plonkers pulled by the bitches they went to school with.

I highly doubt the player was mocking Jones when he made the comment though - it's more likely that someone in the media decided to make a big deal out of it.

Possible but the guy need to think more about what they say. Reminds me of Rooney when the English fans booed them off at the world cup and he slated them by referring they were not loyal fans.

Großkreutz is thick as feck, it wasnt the first time he made stupid comments or acted like a complete d1ck. That's why he isnt a regular in the nationalteam...

After losing a derby-match, he accused Manu Neuer that he rammed his elbow in his face, Dormund players Sahin and Schmelzer backed him up (altho they didnt see a thing) cos first there were no TV pictures to prove... but a day later there were, and Großkreutz, Sahin and Schmelzer were found guilty of lying and falsely accusing Neuer. BVB officially apologised to Neuer, Großkreutz refused to comment...

Großkreutz mocked Fürth's Manager Büskens after Dortmund's last minute winner in a cup tie, first making gestures and later verbal. Before he apparetly made racist comments towards Fürth's Gerald Asamoah, who didnt report it and just stated after the match, that he can't take Großkreutz seriously and that he is not hurt by any remarks as he knew where they were coming from... Asamoah played it down, not making a big thing out of it...
Background is, Büskens was part of Schalke's Uefa Cup winning team 1997 and Asamoah is a living Schalke legend.

I know people connected with Dortmund, and rivalry aside they are great people (one is Dortmund's legend Nobbi Dickel). And I know from a reliable source, that Großkreutz has done so many stupid things in the past, 99% werent even made public. Comment was "Großkreutz' criminal record contains as many pages as Dortmund's yellow pages..."
