A forum for all things Cardiff City

Well this summer our club has broken the transfer record 3 times by spalshing the cash. We had Kim-Bo for around 2.5 million pound, in my eyes thats is the best business malky has done since taking iver at Cardiff City. The way he has started the season I can see a few sides coming in for him in January. He is a class act and can only get better and better.

I hope nobody comes in for him, but if a top club did what would he be worth ? £10 - 15 MILLION is my guess.

Fraizer Campbell is turning out to be an absolute steal aswell

Joe Allen cost 15 million so I would want at least that

I'd have to say Frazier for £600000.00 best bit of business followed by kimbo then Bellers on a free.

I think he wont be the only one ,man utd fans were talking about him on their forum ,think as well we will also end up losing medel to a bigger club, hes gonna be what some of the top 4 teams need ,think the longer the season goes on the better medel will be ,it also doesnt help if we are doing well the press picking up on the players but thats to be expected ,we've had it before .

To be fair if gunner keeps up his performances then id say hes been a cracking buy aswell. Not forgetting hes still not fully fit aswell

Atm no one is going no where, those players are going to play a big part in progessing our club to a good level. Things keep goin the way they are behind the scenes, and with the younger squads getting good results. We will become established mid table competitiors in the prem possibly heading for europe because the hard work will pay off.
Alot of people will laugh when they read this, but this is the way the club is heading. Malky wants to take this club to the level it should be at, just hopefully he can do it.
Fri Aug 30, 2013 9:58 am
Top drawer, that's how good he is. It took him time to settle and Malky eased him in slowly but now we are reaping the rewards. I am sure in a years time we will all be talking about Cornelius in the same glowing terms, sometimes it takes players time to settle in a new club and country, particularly younger players, so please everyone get off Andreus back and give the kid time.

Kim, Medel and Gunnarsson are our current trio in the middle and we have Jordon Mutch waiting to step in if needed plus Whittingham to step into Kim's role if Kim isn't available for one game. This is a tremendous set of players to have for our centre midfield and if we lose Kim or Medel in particular, it will be a disaster. Our current spine of Marshall, Caulker, Medel, Kim and Campbell looks very, very good.
I hope we will be turning down 10-15 million bids for Kim in the future and I think Medel is already proving to be a steal at 11 million and we will have bids of 20 million plus for him in the future. Medel is our own Claude Makelele and I can't believe we've got him. I think he could comfortably fit into any club in the world, including the likes of Barcelona from what I've seen of him so far.

Joe Allen is British, no way we would get anywhere near that.

Yes this!

Gunnarson has turned into a fantastic player and i'm sure we had him for free! FC looks a steal at 600K or whatever it was and although we paid a large fee for Medel he looks like a top top player! Turner as well didnt cost a lot!
Top business by Malky and his scouts!
Fri Aug 30, 2013 2:28 pm
Malky has done some fantastic business fair play, no doubt one of the big clubs will eventually try to take him from us
Fri Aug 30, 2013 8:21 pm
Come on west ham you slaughtered the team now you are getting ahead of yourselves lets take one game at a time. Enjoy but let's not get carried away

Think FC was a steal by the end of the Hull game.
Easily got 650k out of him.
Great to see him get 2 goals last Sunday.

Kimbo is a class act, plenty more for him to improve on, he needs to stop being bullied and impose himself on the game for longer periods. He will get better and I honestly believe he will be a star.

With you on this.
Although it only took a bit of magic from him to get us back in the game.

He certainly has the talent.
I'm talking about making it to top 6 teams, he just needs to dominate games a little more.

Showed a glimpse of magic last week but also gave the ball away loads.
I just watched the game on Sky+ and Gary Neville said prior to the goal Kims run set up that he was the Cardiff player who was struggling the most.
I think people have gone a bit overboard at the moment but time will tell. Certainly plenty he can improve on.

Agree with Polo here. I didn't think he was near his best on Sunday and at time was looking out of his depth. He produced a bit of magic to set up the goal and I'm sure he'll ajust so he can constantly play like that, but some people are going OTT on his performance vs Man City.
I reckon Fraizer Campbell is the best bit of business Malky's ever done. As soon as I saw we'd signed him for 650k I knew he'd show he's worth way way more than that. He has no pressure of a big pricetag on his shoulders so it's easier for him. Hell, if he plays most of the season like he did on Sunday he could be worth anywhere from 6-9m at the end of the season.

He seems to be targeted by other players a lot.
I certainly can't think of another player in our team who's fouled as often.

Hes an attacking player what do you expect? Stand off him.
Of course hes going to be closed down. Ive just finished watching the City game and he gave it away loads. Yes he was fouled a ciuple of times but he gave it away plenty.
Far more than Whitts but Whitts only has to give ball away once or twice and the haters are screaming blue murder.

Kim is playing a more attacking role this season, he's receiving the ball with his back to goal more often and because he tries creating instead of taking the safe option, there will be times things won't quite come off for him. Kim is our only player who looks like individually creating something. His breathtaking run down the left leaving the Everton defender on his backside almost set up a goal, I love the way he can run at pace and do a little shimmy to wrong foot the defender. I can see him being brought down to win a penalty soon.
Because he's playing more attacking, there's times Kim perhaps isn't in the game as much as we would expect, plus we are playing better opposition so he will get less of the ball. But when he does have the ball in the attacking third, he can create something special like the Man City equaliser. I really think we have a special player on our hands with Kim and he will continue to grow, improve and get even better.

He lost it on the edge of our box three times yesterday. f**k all to do with attacking.
Malky was going nuts on him.
Yes near their box (the rare times we get there) he looks better but people are making him out to be some kind of Messi. Hes got tumps to improve on.
I cant take anything you say serious anyway after your "Jordan Mutch is better than Michael Carrick" bollocks.
Goodnight.

When did I say Mutch was better than Carrick? I said Mutch is a similar player than Carrick and I think Mutch has the POTENTIAL to in the future to be as good as, or even better than Carrick. There's a difference!

Getting back on topic, I think Kim is already a very good player for us and he has the potential to be one of the best attacking midfield players in the Premiership.
Goodnight.
