Bastia have nosed ahead of Cardiff City in the race to sign former Arsenal triallist Alharbi El Jadeyaoui.
The 27-year-old spent time with the Gunners earlier this summer but failed to earn himself a permanent deal at the Emirates.
He is still a wanted man though, with Bastia, Wolfsburg and Cardiff City all vying to sign him from Angers.
Bastia are currently in pole position to sign the midfielder having entered discussions over a potential transfer with his current club.
But both Cardiff and Wolfsburg are keen on the Morocco international and they are expected to launch rival bids before the close of the transfer window.
