Pubs around Wembley

My mate has just won 2 tickets to the England match next Friday, so he and I (me a Bluebird, him a Jack) are going to London for around 3pm and staying overnight. Any recommendations on Pubs or areas to visit?

I'd go to Hendon can't remember which part, there is a stree there with coffee shops and bars, nice little area, the majority of around wembley is pretty shite

Just have beers down the west end and tube it up to Wembley on the metro line as only a couple of stops. There's the Swiss Cottage pub near to Finchley Rd tube which is OK and en route. I'd just have a few beers around Soho and then tube it up, as the Wembley area is dire.

everytime we have gone we stay in harrow on the hill theres a irish pub right by the tube station which is only 1 or 2 stops to wembley less busy and cracking pint

i know some1 else who is going up to the game with his dad, i'm sure he would be more than happy to do this, let me know and we could sort something out.
