Who gets dropped?

Re: craig noone

He should have been on the bench against West Ham.

He can go around defenders, create chances and score goals. Yes, he may not track back as much as he should but he can do other things that other players can't. Should definitely be on the bench so that he can be brought on if need be. He could start against weaker teams. :ayatollah:

Ian Dowie was covering the match on SKY and he said that Noone was good in the first half but faded out of the game in the second half.

Bring him in Saturday. No need to be defensive against Everton, we can match them

Judging on the Radio all game he was lively and always quick on the counters.

A lot of people reckon Everton haven't got the type of players to play the type of football that Martinez plays, most of the pannick on the ball.

I was at the game, and i think he played well and he is deffo a real threat, deserves to be on bench.... Problem is who to drop ?!.... He is class tho

He didn't fade at all in the 2nd half! He got better in the 2nd half, despite being chopped down times many!

OK

Tbh I don't think we can take anything from last night but say it was a comfortable win. The team work was lacking a bit but that is due to fielding a set of players that have not played much together. Super Kev played central defence, Cornelius is still finding his feet, same with Brayford....

I would have expected Noone to shine last night against the team we played against. He did ok like everyone else.

It was a typical small team against the big boys match. The underdogs held out well but were beaten by 2 quality moves.

Noone's biggest problem is that he gives the ball away far too much and just can't do that in the premiership. Keeping the ball for as long as possible is the key to success.

I like Noone's attitude but he needs to know when he can take on a player and when he needs to play the simple pass. At times he reminds me of a kid in a playground; head down, arse up, running like a looney with no concept of what's going on around him.

We need to have better widemen than Noone if we're to survive the premiership.

i agree,

while i have been crying out for a bit of pace and a winger of lately, malky got it right last week so i would expect the same team but with probably rudy coming back onto the bench for cornelius.

what does baffle me though is that we spent a decent amount on brayford who was clearly the best right back in the championship last season, however we continue to use connolly there who spent most of last season in and out of the side.

malky obviously sees more than what we do and maybe he is bedding brayford in just as he did with kim etc..

Yes putting Connolly in instead of Brayford is a strange one.

Connolly had a horrific time against WHU but shone against the more fancied Man City. He did quite well last season when asked to play the full back role but that was the championship. Against WHU I thought the premier will be too much for him in that position but last Sunday proved that wrong.

Adding to that you could quite easily replaced Campbell with him for those goals. That's the sort of attacking choices we have with Connolly. I've got a feeling Brayford might have a battle on his hands to get into the starting lineup which is only good really.

I say so many times noone should be getting more game time, why aren't we playing an out and out winger until we sign one?

A wee bit harsh, but in general I tend to agree with this!

Re Brayford. West Ham match - we needed height. Citeh is a narrow team so CB at RB actually worked quite well. My point is, I reckon he'll get his chance as soon as we come up against a team with wide men. Also better going forward so reckon he may get more games at home whereas Connolly gets more games away.

His time will come soon enough. Or we'll have to change his name to Etien Brayford.
