What happened? A lot of Fulham fans apparently haven't forgotten what our lot did.

Remember it well ,only a teenager then so quite an eye opener. A few Cardiff were in the home end and it kicked off , loads of Cardiff invaded the pitch and got into the home end. City Gent could tell the story better than me

I was the same mate only 16, was fooking mental. Neil Kinnock was there and came out to try and calm things down with jimmy chin. A few Cardiff in the away side, one small lad pretty much ran the home side on his own, then everyone went over the fence!

I was on the pitchside with my mate Beefy in his wheelchair, great disabled facilities NOT,,,

Had a ringside seat so to speak, it sttarted because Fulham couldn,t cope with the amount of us that turned up, especially as most got there from the pubs with five minutes to spare ;)

They decided to put eome of those queuing up into the enclosure along the side, ten or so of these were our mates from Aberdare, one ( the general was jailed for it, still goes every game now though) a crowd of theirs , who they tried to say were Chelsea fans not poor old innocent Fulham, stood behind the boys and started giving it large, Neilo who had a nice hot cup of tea, decided to share it with the loudest one of them, and bingo.

In all fairness, the ones in that section were doing ok for themselves and didn,t need any help, but a few hundred in the away section decided they wanted to anyway, and ove the fences they went, and mayhem ensued for fifteen minutes.

I remember after the game taking Beefy back to our Transit van parked in the street and a half a dozen of them had a go at the two ous, one was frothing at the mouth calling us animals, don,t think i helped the situation when i grabbed Beefy,s walking stick and chased them up the road waving the stick above my head, cockney knobs.

I also remember Diddy David Hamilton the PA slating us over the pa system, don,t think they like us there.

I also think they never forgive us for beating them there during the John Buchanan era when he scored one of the best goals ever seen, can,t remeber the score, just the fact it peed down all day and they tried to stop me taking a brolly in the ground, yet every other person seemed to taking one in with no problem.

That was 1997 no problems getting in that night

Fulham away was our first away game in 1993 must have been 2500 City fans up in London that day, Long queues to get in so a few decided to go in the home end

After about 10-15 minutes it kicked off in the enclosure along the side, seeing this prompted a pitch invasion from behind the goal, horses on the pitch whilst Chelsea/Fulham backed off

The teams were taken off the pitch Eddie May and quite a few city players clapped the away support much to the annoyance of anyone connected with Fulham!..Their next home game was against Wrexham, I went to this as i lived in London at the time about 50% of the programme was slagging us off!

Those who were on the road outside the Bricklayers Arms in Putney before the game set the tone for the rest of the day :thumbright:

On that Friday night game, agsin i was pitchside with Beefy in his wheelchair, half an hour before the game, needed a piss, walked down to the nearest steward who was stsnding buy the corner flag.

I asked him where the toilets were, and he was totally lost, i muet hafe been the first away fan in the disabled section that ever neede a piss.
After much deliberation he siad i go use the one whifh was under and behind the Tulham Grandstand, job fonr, two minutes i was back and thanks for your help and on my way.
Half time comes and i need another one, back to the steward, who must have had a brain transplant, now i,m looking after a wheelchair, i even got a shirt and tie on after coming straight from work, he said you csn,t go tgere noe, it,s for home fans only, i said no pronlem, where can i go then.

He had speak on the radio to his supervisor who must have told him to see common sense and let me through, as i walked past , just to get the last word, he said"you can use it this once, but be quick" i did flip slightly and was in his face telling him " i,m 44 years old, looking afer a disabled person, i,ll take as long as i f*cking want to have a piss, you dipstick"

Jobsworth and a half. :old:

They took all me fags out of the packet to check for razor blades, never saw that before, I was working over at Sizewell and travelled from Suffolk, got there about 3.00, hundreds outside and mayhem inside, copper on the gate said you have had a few and I told him I hadn't had a drink (true), he said don't get chopsy or I'll nick you, very unlike the MET to be aggressive
