I wouldn't say I am regretting it but God I wish I was there on Sunday. Watching it on Sky at my mother-in-law's house in Merthyr on her birthday wasn't the same. I also miss the banter and the people I sat with. Just the whole atmosphere. It's not even about playing in the Premier League. I'd be missing it if we were League Two. It's amazing. You don't fully appreciate how many emotions and feelings a game triggers, even a boring 0-0 draw against Barnet!
I know I made the right decision but it is tough. Anyone that has stopped going for whatever reason and says it isn't is either lying or not a proper fan! I am so pleased for all those that witnessed the Manchester City game first hand and hopefully you can experience more top performances like that both home and away.
I have decided to return to watch games when my son is old enough to decide what sport he wants to watch. I will then accompany him to watch that sport. Hopefully it is football and Cardiff.

They are just new fans, all clubs get them just look at the top 6.
Wrong attitude from pro blue fans imo, all fans should be welcomed.

Do you think they will still be here if we do a Wolves, I think we all know the answer to that, it's easy to support a successful team and that is the point here, it's like having two sons, one who started at the bottom and worked hard to get there and the other handed life on a plate.

I remember when we went up to the Championship and the number of fair weather fans that started coming was unbelievably. Luckily, we gained as many loyal fans as fair weather fans and I am sure the same will happen this season.

Well that's up to them really isn't it.
Its not when you start surely?
Just because someone went to barnet on a pissing down tuesday, new fans are just as entitled to start supporting us, its simple, we need a constant turnover of fans and cant rely on the 200 in barnet to keep us going.

I embrace some of the genuine new fans, that includes my kids for a start, and we need the support to survive, my point is, lets assume we have picked up 15,000 fans in the last few years, we all know that half of those will go back to supporting Liverpool etc from their armchair when the going gets tough and these are the ones that annoy me. I used to work with a football mad, Liverpool supporter who used to take the piss out of me for following my home team, he said he wouldn't watch Cardiff if they were playing in his back garden, ST Holder now and another example, at the cup final, an adult in front of me was actually wearing a Liverpool beeny hat ffs. BTW, I do think your being Barnetist, Free the Barnet 200

As I read it, it stated people (and I know some who took advantage) could have a year off but still be entitled
The atmosphere was superb on Sunday; by far the best in the new stadium to date (and the Citeh fans helped too)

Hi Sven. I was not aware of that. It's an interesting clause if true. I feel quite the fool that I've seen us in all three Football League divisions and flirting with non-league but the minute we finally win promotion to the Premier League I have a sabbatical but know I did the right thing by me and my family.
My mates have said that I could have their tickets if they are unable to go to a game but not sure I could become a season ticket holder until my lad is old enough to come with me. Argh! Why is this such a mind f**k?!
