Heerenveen confirm cardiff interest

What's the disagreement though

Heerenveen: disagreement about Alfred in Cardiff

Gaston Sporre, Heerenveen manager, says the reason why he lost his talks with Alfred Finnbogason Cardiff then be disagreement has prevailed in the camp of the Welsh team to acquire the player.

Sporre claimed the Dutch media the day before yesterday that Cardiff would like to link to Alfred and the player was subsequently given the green light to start negotiations with Cardiff.

However, there was nothing of that rule and Malky Mackay, Cardiff boss, the player was on the way to the company at a press conference yesterday.

'This came from a reliable source, "said Sporre, when asked by Cardiff who have put themselves in contact for Alfred.

'But now I realize that the one person within the company will get the player while the other party is against this transfer. "

It is still unclear whether Alfred will remain in camp Heerenveen before the transfer window closes in a few day but numerous scouts will follow him in the game against Ajax last weekend.

Doubt there will ever be one that translates the sentence AND organises it into a readable sentence

two quality defenders and a winger would be nice - we've enough up front from what I can see!

They are confused to why malky said "no" when asked about it. That would be my guess

It's because English is very diverse, when other languages are translated ino English they don't read the same, Welsh is a prime example!

So google translate ect just translate word for word!

He's not even their manager he's their Chairman. Marco van Basten is their manager.

I'm Icelandic, and so is the original text (translated from Dutch), so I hope I'll do a better job translating than Google Translate:

"Gaston Sporre, director of football at Heerenveen, says that the reason nothing came out of the reported talks between Heerenveen and Cardiff is conflicting views within the management of the Welsh team on whether or not to buy the player.

Sporre asserted to Dutch media two days ago that Cardiff were interested in Alfreð and that the player had consequently been given permission to speak to Cardiff.

Nothing came of it however and Malky Mackay, manager of Cardiff, denied in a press conference yesterday that Cardiff were interested in the player.

"It was someone who should have a say in these matters," said Sporre when asked which Cardiff representative had been in contact about Alfreð. [Translation comment: A bit hard to translate, at least with my vocabulary, but if unclear he means that whoever contacted Heerenveen was someone they had no reason not to believe could approach other clubs about transfers on behalf of Cardiff.]

"But, as I've since discovered, one person within the club wants the player whereas another person doesn't."

It is still unclear whether Alfreð will stay with Heerenveen or if he will leave before the transfer window closes as there were many scouts watching him in the game against Ajax last weekend."

The actual manager of Heerenveen is called Marco van Basten, a name tad more recognizable than Gaston Sporre.

Either Malky wants him but wants to remain cool until it's done or someone else wants to bring him in

Hmm weird , did Makky contact them and then it was blocked by someone else at the club ?
Or maybe someone else at the club contacted them . The plot thickens.
