Another ticketing Question

Wed Aug 28, 2013 6:59 am

Sorry for for posting another ticketing question but I'm getting a little confused by the new policy. My son is taking part in the Guard of Honour for an upcoming game. We are already season ticket holders but I've had to buy us both tickets again for him to take part. I'd like to give my season ticket to my wife and daughter so they can come and watch. Is that going to cause a problem with the new policy? Can I get a paperless ticket for them?

Thanks

As long as they are in the same age bracket as the s/ticket holder there shouldn't be no problem :malky:

As long as your wife has yours and your daughter has your sons you will have no problem .
I wouldn't bother asking the ticket office for this one they will Prob just say you can't swap tickets and try to charge you by getting you to buy a gold membership .

Why did you have to buy tickets for him to do a guard of honour ?

Season Tickets are non-transferable and can only be used by the season ticket-holder. They can be upgraded/changed for Gold Members.

Just let them use your season tickets
The photo I d is never checked
They only look at the lights that come on when you put your card in the reader at the turn stile
Eg adult =green light it doesnt say male or female etc
Eg child=orange light it doesnt say boy or girl etc
Eg concession orange and green light it doesnt say oap or student etc
So as long as the user is of the correct type or looks the correct type eg child or oap there will be no problem
Sadly if you go to the ticket office they will tell you , you can only upgrade /exchange ticket to a gold/silver member imojust to rip us off :ayatollah:
Hope thats of some help

Incorrect mate and the ticket office has told me that it is ok for another person to use the ST as long as they are in the same bracket of the season ticket holder and that they have pernission from the ST holder.

I live overseas and my relatives use my ticket for the matches I can't make and they have no problems.

Taken from the Ground Regulations:

21. Tickets are not transferable and may not be offered for sale without the prior written permission of the Club. Any tickets that are transferred are transferred subject to these Ground Regulations. Any tickets offered for sale may be confiscated by any steward, officer of the Club or any police officer. The Club reserves the right to refuse admission to or eject from the Ground, any person who has transferred his/her ticket in contravention of the relevant ticket terms and conditions (and/or the holder of any ticket that has been transferred in contravention of the relevant ticket terms and conditions.) Tickets remain the property of the Club at all times.

That's the official line but very difficult to enforce.

I agree. The complicating factor now is that there are Gold members who have paid to be able to buy any tickets that become available, so the club shouldn't be seen to be advocating simply handing your ticket to someone else, even if they are your wife and daughter, unless they are Gold members aswell.

Agree mate, there is no way they can check every single person that comes through the turnstile they would have to open the gates about 3 hrs before KO.

As long as the person that uses your ticket behaves and they are in the correct bracket for that ticket then I think they will turn a blind eye on it.

If I can't make a game i just give my ticket to a mate , not worried what the club say

Is against the regulations to use a ticket that isn't intended for you. Always has been, always will be. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

The photo ID is for away games. My mate was told that if he didn't get his photo taken then he couldn't go to away games as he needs photo ID. I've never seen anyone's card get checked either. I think they check if the colour light changes on entry. So just make sure an adult has an adult card.

Sorry didn't mean the ID card was only for away games. I meant the photo.

As long at the adult isn't using a 16-21 or kids ticket it should be fine

Thanks All for the responses. The Guard of Honour children sit in a designated area so there isnt the option to reuse my season ticket. Therefore giving to my wife and daughter seemed a fair approach. The policy as shown above isnt clear, but good to hear everyone's experiences and reasoning.
