BEING REALISTIC

Tue Aug 27, 2013 9:17 pm

I got asked today by a work mate, how many points did I think City would have when we enter November.

Not sure why he asked, maybe it was because Swansea are our first opponents in November, I didn't ask why but answered his question.

I went through the fixtures and predicted that we will have 11 points when we come to play Swansea.

Going through the next 7 games here is where I thought we will pick up the 8 points from.

Everton H Lose
Hull A Win
Tottenham H Lose
Fulham A Draw
Newcastle H Win
Chelsea A Lose
Norwich A Draw

I wouldn't be too disappointed if we were on 11 points after 9 games but anything over that would obviously be very welcome.

After Sunday's performance and result I suppose I could have been more optimistic with my predictions but I do feel I have been realistic.

Anyone care to predict our points total after the first 9 games are completed.

Confidence will be up for Saturday I think we can beat everton In a very tight game . I would also swap Fulham and Newcastle results around I think our style will be too hard for Fulham , Newcastle are similar to us but with more quality plus we never seem to do well against them .

This is how Malky will be setting up his squads way of thinking, of course he will be militant in his approach to every game but they will have small groups of 3-4 games in which they will have a target. Beating Man City (still can't believe i can say that) means we have 3 extra points carried over, thats the way I see it. We have just been given 3 more points than most clubs around us will get so we are ahead of the game.

Carl,
You are far too negative.

I cannot see us losing until we play arsenal at home.

Keep the faith.
I was at the man city game when Blake scored.

Judging be some of the replies in here, I think a few people have let the victory over Man City get to their heads!

One week ago it was all doom and gloom, now we're invincible! I think people need to be a bit more realistic in their predictions.

My genuine opinion.

Everton H Lose
Hull A Draw
Tottenham H Lose
Fulham A Draw
Newcastle H Win
Chelsea A Lose
Norwich A Lose

5 points, which will see you on 8pts from 9 games which will be a similar tally to what we will have however we would have got Man Utd, Spurs, Liverpool and Arsenal out of the way.

Guess that's 15pts (possible 17) for me.
