Sky Sports - 'Hymns and Arias'

Mon Aug 26, 2013 8:02 pm

I've watched the game over and over again today and it makes me chuckle every time.
At 66:24 minutes the City fans start singing our edited version of Hymns and Arias as a tribute to our cousins down west and the Sky Sports commentator says "Hymns and Arias ringing around this stadium but there's still a lot of football to played here...."!!!! - It was 1-1 at the time.
He clearly didnt have the alternative lyrics on his crib notes - I wonder if someone pointed it out to him afterward!!!
My head hurts lots today!!!
I wonder if Manc Citeh will now go down the same path as the Weeds after we done them in the FA cup!!!

Now I can understand the mistake about the hymns and arias chant but what on earth made them think VT was doing the mo-bot its the ayatollah any reporter/pundit worth their salt should know about the ayatollah especially if your going to comment on the game, do your homework lazy reporting.

Think its about time we stopped singing "Arias"thought it was funny the first time we sung it but it does sound like the original when we hear it on the box (we know we,re taking the piss out of the jerks but the english dont)

I agree - especially the un-prepared lazy reporters as mentioned earlier - and in a noisy bar/environment it will sound like the original!
