A forum for all things Cardiff City

As Supporter Liaison Officer at Accrington Stanley I thought those of you travelling up to East Lancashire on Wednesday might like some information about your stay with us.
Our 'stadium' is named the StoreFirst Stadium, formally the Crown Ground.
Kick off is 7:45pm and turnstiles will be open by 6:30pm.
The StoreFirst Stadium holds just over 5000 supporters, catering for nearly 2000 away fans.
Your club has been given 300 or so tickets but don't worry if you haven't managed to get one as all supporters will be able to pay cash at the turnstile.
Prices at the cash turnstile are:
Adults aged 17-64: £15
Concessions 65+: £10
Students with correct ID: £6
Children aged 12-16: £6
Accompanied under 12s: £1
Cardiff City fans will be located on the Coppice Terrace which is an open terrace behind one goal. There are also covered seats at no extra charge in the Whinney Hill Terrace.
If you fancy a drink before or after the game then please visit the Crown Pub which is owned by the club and located on Whalley Road next to the ground.
You can get food inside the ground (usually burgers and hot dogs).
Programmes will be on sale outside the ground priced at £3.
The ground is located a mile from Accrington Town Centre and the Railway Station. It's uphill from town and takes 15-20 minutes.
If you're early there is a Weatherspoons and various other places to get a pint and a bite to eat.
Parking is easy at Stanley as there is NO residents only parking in the area. Although no parking at the Ground there is a private car park 100yds past the stadium that charges a couple of quid for the privilege.
This is only the third time in our history we have payed Premier League opposition in a competitive match, losing at home to Newcastle in the League Cup 3-2, and to Fulham in the 4th Round of he FA Cup 3-1 both matches within the last 5 years.
We'd like to wish you an enjoyable visit and if you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.
Robert, Supporter Liaison Officer at Accrington Stanley FC.

The scouse kids were wearing LFC tops sponsered by candy. So that my friend was around 1990. If it was early 80's, I wouldn't remember it as I was born in 81.
