Mon Aug 26, 2013 2:21 pm

Cardiff City fans marched prior the Manchester City home game on Sunday 25th August 2013.
The Bluebirds went on to win the Premiership game 3-2 with a crowd of over 27,000 attending the game, a new record for the Cardiff City Stadium.
It is estimated over 1,000 marched.
The march was a peaceful event and then most of the fans then went in to the stadium.

The march went off well and without incident which is what I was personally afraid of. Credit to all involved in that aspect.

Can I ask anybody at the statue. Why when the cameras were on you were you singing "theres only one sian branson"

I would estimate that by the time we arrived at the stadium we had around 1000 to 1500. We were applauded along the route and praised by the police for our behaviour. History Pride and Identity, worth fighting for.

It was a celebration of Cardiffs heritage, identity and tradition. Just wondered if there was a specific reason to chant that.

Agreed it would be very interesting to have, highlighting not only the % of people with the preference of blue over red, but also the % difference between active protesters and people who either aren't that bothered or believe there is no use in doing so for various reasons such as the fact he won't be here forever, and we will at some point return to blue anyway. I assume the number in blue minus the 1000 protesters would give a rough estimate of the number of 'reluctant reds' within the 27000 crowd.

It looked like 50/50

Canton had more blue, family and grandstand had more red. I was in ninian but what i saw around me looked a bit of both.

Red stands out more so if a few are wearing it it seems more. But defo a lot more blue than red.

That was my take too ! BU is only one aspect of fans showing their preference for blue ! A lot more chose not to take part in the walk yet made their feelings known via their clobber ! Hypothetical I know , but how good could we be with Tan & blue working in harmony ???
