Anyone got a calculator?

The new season ticket deal seems to have had the desired effect. For good reason many have started to renew and I’m one of them. But this incentive has an associated obligation on Cardiff City.

The appeal is to back the team, an appeal made by Dave Jones himself. (Or if you’re cynical an appeal made by CCFC marketing via Dave Jones’ mouth to give it a little more realism)

So regardless of what payments are due over the next couple of months I’m expecting the revenue from advanced season ticket sales to be spent on one thing only, backing the team or put another way new players.

When Jan 1st is here and the advanced season ticket numbers are in we will have a rough idea of how much we have to spend. At a guess I would say somewhere between £2m and £3 Million.

Mr Ridsdale has generally done well for CCFC but it seems people are a little suspicious on where some of the money has gone and whether there is going to be a real sting in the tail. Maybe this will be a time of judgement for him. They have appealed directly to the supporters and we’ve responded.

Will January now see them invest all the advanced season ticket revenue on players or have we been misled?

Keep you calculators close to hand, because now its personal.

Do you think I'm being a little over optimistic?
