i got the impression the march was a culmination of previous events and this was final chance to show tan the anger from a blue prospective.Didn't work,in my opinion todays result overshadowed everything else.

I am sure plenty took notice, there was media interest and most importantly there have been no horror stories suggesting that BU acted any other way than dignified

I would suggest Sian tries to organise a meeting with Tan.

i just can't see that happening carl.
i admire what she's done but i think it's pointless.Tans got another agenda which doesn't include dialogue with Bu.

There are just too many fans who've bought into the rebrand.

Today's march was superb but walking past the pubs in Canton today was surreal...

There was a quiet hostility from many and lots of icy stares.

To many current City fans, we are the enemy within.

Sian and the rest of the BU crowd are doing a magnificent job but there are thousands and thousands of Cardiff City fans who will cheerfully put a bit of transient success ahead of tradition and identity.

Is it a lost cause?

Maybe...

Watched the game on a live stream with French commentary - they were saying lots of things about our rebrand and the change from blue to red and the protests.

Before the match KO the French TV team were in awe of the passion but after the game they kept on about how passionate City fans were and the atmosphere in CCS.

Not that French TV is any good for the BLUE cause but it may help to get more coverage?

What a fantastic performance Blooobirds - WELL DONE BOYS :malky: :D :laughing6: :malky:

Difficult to give an accurate number but one of the coppers I spoke to reckoned somewhere between 900-1200 were on the march.

I've not heard what the official figure was but that would seem a reasonable assessment.

by the time it hit canton must have been fast approaching at least a thousand

started off with a few hundred in town

alf not a problem with u but a couple of hundred at the Castle must be bitterly disappointing to sain and Bu in general considering all the work and advertising beforehand.

I was stuck in traffic just up from the Ninian while the march went through, and it has to be said it looked impressive. Hard to estimate numbers but definitely closer to 1000 than 200.

Re: THE MARCH /WHAT NEXT

Bluebirds Unite need to consider whether they are to be just a protest group or whether they are prepared to compromise so as to achieve something. If they are 100% committed to persuading Tan to make the home kit all blue I believe that they will fail as Tan has decided on red and I don't believe BU will ever be able to harness sufficient fans and investors to persuade him otherwise.

However, there are some possible options that they could consider pushing for:
- When the red kit is worn, the goalkeeper could wear blue - ideal for teams with a white or green or yellow kit
- When playing away to a red team, making the first alternative kit blue instead of yellow
- Blue shorts with the red shirts or a blue stripe (or similar) on the red shirts and shorts

Some may not feel that this is sufficient. Others will recognise these options as the best that can be achieved in the circumstances. Purists may not like it, but need to recognise that if in 5 years time Cardiff City are an established Premiership team playing in a red kit in a 35,000-40,000 red stadium a lot of the fans will only have known red. In 10 years time many of the 15-20 year olds will only remember red. So do we need to hang in with some blue to give a chance of changing back in the long term?

Red passion....stay off the drink Steve.

The passion came from the fans getting behind the team and willing them on. Absolutely nothing to do with what was being worn.

Can't see it happening either Alex.

I feel BU need to concentrate on keeping the blue flame burning because without it no new person will realise.

Surely the passion in the stadium was for Cardiff City ?! We all share that passion, whether we're red , blue or casual !? Passion comes from the heart not the pocket !
