Before I go on about Medel, every single player on that pitch was superb. I watched on TV as I am living overseas and from what I heard on sky was that the crowd were an inspiration to the team, very vociferous for the full 90+7 mins that were played.
But as for Medel his work is understated, he had Yaya Toure in his pocket ( who is about 6ft taller). He covered a huge amount yards, made crucial tackles etc and his reaction to us going infront was memorable. He really has shown that he wants to be here. What a purchase this guy was. I know that it is just one game but we have shown that we can live with the teams worth 100's millions with a little help from the crowd.

I was at the game and he is really good at his job!
Blocking the ball breaking up play and tackling,
His understanding of the language might be a little problem but he can work on that,
It was funny when turner told him how to do the ayetollah coz he didn't understand what we wanted him to do!!
Really happy with this singing

I love him

He wanted to take every free kick, he wanted to receive every goal kick short from Marshall, he did not stop positioning our other midfielders and was always quick to high five our central defenders.
Great signing who is sure to be a big fans favourite!

I saw Messi pop out of his back pocket at one point. Messi quickly hid back away though in fear of Medal. #GaryMedalFacts

Not sure if anyone noticed Medel yesterday but he was constantly talking to the back 4 when there was a break in play.
The guy is quality and will get better. It's good to have an extra figure like captain on the pitch to talk to the team throughout.

Cardiff City star Gary Medel excited by Premier clashes with Manchester United and Liverpool

Medel may be named after one of Spurs greatest goalscorers, the Chilean international’s having been a big fan of legendary Tottenham striker Gary Lineker but he's most excited by playing Liverpool and United.
