But the tempo was set from the kick off, the players harried the Citeh players, played some fantastic football in spells and created some decent opportunities.
Throughout the first half, the pride I was getting from watching our players compete with Man City was immense.
The half time conversation was about how this team of players had turned last weeks performance on its head and were giving the title contenders a game.
When Dzeko scored, of course I was gutted but my thoughts were 'fair play, they have had to work hard to get ahead', but what happened over the course of the next 40 mins will live with me forever.
To equalise against a team of £200m the feeling was something magical but to take the lead was mind blowing, I have never witnessed a celebration in the family stand like I did when we got our second goal.
For Malky to put the same team, bar one, out as last week was brave after some of the criticism we received but respect to the manager, he believed in his system and more importantly, he believed in his players.
He could have simply made changes to show he is trying something different but he stuck to his guns and it paid off handsomely.
Don't forget, Malky is learning about the Premier League also.
And the player deserve a huge amount of respect after that performance, they could have froze against a squad like Man City but they stood man to man and gave everything for the cause, that's all we ask and if we can get the result as well, like we did, is the cherry on top.
All in all a fantastic occasion and a day I will never forget.

When citeh scored I thought the floodgates would open. However our players dug deep and showed immense character. Gun arson took his goal well but when Campbell scored I leapt up and hurt my stitches. The 3rd goal I had to be slightly calmer!
Really proud of our team today. Gutted to miss it

We also played a lot of long balls today, something that the team were slaughtered for last week. Today the team showed why as Frazer Campbell frightened the hell out of them with his pace running onto the ball over the top.
Admittedly it wasn't all long ball as Kimbo showed when he did brilliantly running at the Man City defence to set up the first. Add that to Peter Whittingham's and Don Cowie's pin point delivery from corners and it was no wonder we got 3!!
The only downside is the cat is now fully out of the bag as far as Cardiff City are concerned. The Premier League would certainly have sat up and taken notice of that performance, but that's now our next challenge.
