Good spot. I presume its a coincidence but maybe someone mentioned it to him and that's why "Fire & Passion" made its way onto the badge, I assume that's your point?
Could be and maybe he kept it quite considering on the commotion over the rebrand.

I worked with a bloke once who had a mind like an encyclopedia. You could ask him anything about anything and he could recall it all in great detail at a moment's notice. He was a bit of freak. Well, actually that particular bloke was an out and out freak, but there you go, you meet 'me from time to time.
Anyway, I trust you don't normally walk around with an intimate knowledge of ancient Chinese name etymology, or are you a Professor of Eastern Studies in disguise?

Being a bit annoying CCS only opened in the summer of 2009 and we first knew of VT's interest in November of that year. Not probably a 'long time' but of course the point is it was there before he arrived.
However, that still doesn't mean he didn't see it and think of incorporating it into what is now known as the 'beer mat' badge? If nothing else it might have been a good line when TG was selling the club to him in the final days of the Ridsdale era.
