As well as missing his side's game at Cardiff on Sunday, Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany is in danger of being ruled out of Manchester United's visit to the Etihad Stadium on 22 September.
Manager Manuel Pellegrini says Matija Nastasic could be fit for Cardiff, Micah Richards may be available for next week while forward Stevan Jovetic is not yet 100% fit.
