Mackay has failed to persuade Mexican side Morelia to release Ecuador winger Jefferson Montero but hopes to have more luck with Kembo wgo plays for United Arab Emirates side Al Ain. The ex-Rennes midfielder has also been linked with a loan move to Bastia and Sochaux.

Montero would have been a bigger signing but as long as we get some pacey winger in with some decent delivery it doesn't bother me

Nice to see we have 2 in mind.

Daily Mail have a lot of sources and don't get a lot wrong with us.

Yep spot on. Mentioned a lot of our transfer dealings before anyone else.

I think we may go for both Odemwingie and this other lad. Odemwingie for 2m, and this guy may be aloud to leave on loan..

Be ideal moves and would be pleased.

Think CG said Daily Mail have the best sources when it comes to transfers best out of newspapers in the UK.

And me. Odemwingie still has a lot to offer.

I can agree with that to be fair. They're the only ones I really take any notice of.

Yeah. As soon as Ince rejected us I thought we'd go straight back in for another winger. Obvious Malky thinks we need one, and it's even more obvious after West Ham. :ayatollah:

In all honesty would be nice to have a few faces in before the window shuts just so we don't have to worry and panic buy

Cardiff are set to make moves for Al Ain star Jires Kembo and West Brom’s Peter Odemwingie, according to reports from the Daily Mail.

Bluebirds boss Malky Mackay has made adding creativity in wide positions his priority before the transfer window slams shut in just over a week’s time, and sees the duo as ideal solutions.

Odemwingie is believed to have little future at the Hawthorns, with his relationship with the club still strained following his January antics – where he attempted to force a move to QPR.

The 32-year-old has also slipped down the pecking order under Steve Clarke of late, who has drafted in a number of fresh attacking players.

Although Odemwingie is a controversial character, Mackay believes that his Premier League experience could be vital in keeping Cardiff in the top tier.

Meanwhile, Kembo – who plays for Al Ain in the United Arab Emirates – could also be keen to make a summer move.

The former France U-21 international only moved to the Middle East last year, but could be persuaded to make a return to Europe already.

Kembo has also been linked with a return to Ligue 1, but Mackay is hopeful that the lure of Premier League football could be enough to convince him to switch to South Wales.

If I was Malky, I would do everything possible to get Victor Moses on loan when Chelsea sign Willian. He won't get much time on the pitch there and I think he would add significantly to our team.
