A man who sits 2 seats away from me arrives at the majority of the games late and leaves about 20-30 minutes before some games as he travels from somewhere in England for every game.
I can understand people leaving to avoid the heavy traffic but any other reason isn't right.

Mind you, watch the stadium empty if we concede 3 goals. I remember against Brighton last year. We went down 2-0 and all I heard was seats slam and seen fans walk out.

Our attendance jumped majorly when it was advertised the scarfs were going to be sold... My fiance's little brother wanted to get one but they all went.. When I complained to the club, I was told that they didn't even expect 24,000 fans there - nevermind almost 26,000 haha

People having been leaving early for years, especially when we're losing. There'll be plenty of 'blue' leaving early as well.

But then again if you are stuck in traffic at the car park or retail park.. you are also losing money on petrol and also emitting co2 emission to our lovely environment!

I have some great memories of City games, but I have to admit to also having some really dire memories. Yet no matter how bad a game was it never ever occurred to me to leave a single second before the final whistle.

Yet I can remember a late 60's game when the score was Cardiff City 4 Hull City 0 and I discussed it the next day with my mate and he had missed all of the goals:
- he arrived a couple of minutes late and City were a goal up,
- he went for a pee just before half time so missed the second,
- he was still queuing for a pie at the beginning of the second half and missed the third,
- then he left just before the last goal was scored at the end of the game.

One of the great things about sport and football is that you never know what will happen next, so watch every single minute.

I only ever left before the end once - to beat the traffic and we were trailing against Leicester in the FA Cup. There must have been about 5 mins to go. I got to the stand exit and we scored. I got to the end of the car park and we'd scored again.
