Ben Affleck has been confirmed as the Batman
And as I prev reported it will not be any connection to Nolans Batman.

It's a shame because they've missed a trick disconnecting it from Nolan's Batman. Get Christian Bale back in and it could have been something special under Nolan. Now it's going to be nothing more than Batman and Robin 2: The Arrival of Superman!

Whilst I'm glad they have not connected the two!!!
I am gutted about the casting of Affleck..

The Dark Knight is the best superhero movie ever made bar none and without Bale's presence or Nolan's direction in the upcoming 2015 film, I can't see it being topped.
For that reason superhero fans should cherish the Bale/Nolan Batman movies for the masterpieces they are, and accept that what is to follow is only likely to be several steps down.
Sometimes the truth isn't good enough. Sometimes people deserve more. Sometimes people deserve to have their faith rewarded. Sometimes, that is, not always.

Factogasmo!!!
Disagree!!!!!
The Dark Knight is one of the greatest movies let alone just superhero movie!!!
Name me a film franchise that the sequel was head and shoulders above the 1st?
Terminator and Godfather are always mentioned!!!
From start to finish the Dark Knight was epic... Ledgers role as the Joker eclipsed any villain in any movie for a long time.....

If TDK is the best movie ever made (as you say) then, by definition, it must be the best superhero movie ever made (as superhero movies are a subset of all movies).
Whether it is the best movie ever made, I am not sure, but without doubt it is excellent and my current favourite.

Ben Affleck???!!
He is a reasonable actor but I can't see him as Batman, it just seems ridiculous. Can see this film being similar to the dire Batman movies of the 90s. Remember Affleck as Daredevil, that was awful.

Just seems like a massive missed opportunity to bridge two succesful DC films in to a universe like Marvel have done. You would have thought Bale would be up for this with Nolan being involved.
