Watching this guy tonight reminded me of just what we gave away. The guy is top class and we sold him for f*cking peanuts-he's running the show!!

The ball for the goal was world class

He's been the best player on the pitch tonight no doubts. When he has confidence he's absolutely outstanding.

We were struggling financially so had our hands tied. Clubs who are struggling financially can't afford to negotiate and take their time when bills need paying. Thats the thing. Some of the same people moaning about our talent being sold off for nothing or being let off the wage bill to move for free are some of the same who blame others for selling out.

You can't have it all. If we convert debt to equity and we bring in some world class talent we can demand what we want. The reasons the Jacks got £15m was because they're financially sound and not desperate for money. We were at the time and other clubs knew it.

If Jack Wilshire had played as well as Rambo did tonight the English media would have been absolutely creaming themselves over his performance.

Will be lucky to get a passing mention tomorrow.

He was excellent tonight, but let's face it he's been very inconsistent last couple of seasons.

We had to take the money at the time, no option really.

Big season for him, hope he continues tonight's form, except against us. That felt strange typing that hoping an Arsenal player under performs against us. Still getting used to being in Prem. :old:

Sold cheap maybe but his sale most likely means we still have a club

Agreed. This is what some take for granted. Its like people who are always accumulating debt and think its fine until the debt collectors come knocking and the reality of the situation kicks in.

Never been in debt in my life and proud of that fact and I hope one day our club is in the position whereby it runs on the same principles. If I ain't got the money then I work and save until I can get it. If its not a necessity then I dont need it, I want it and it can wait.

So many people just think the club will always be okay and not a lot truly realise how close the club was to going under, especially those off the forum who do not follow the club as religiously as we do.

He is a good player, no doubt about it however they were absolute shite and made him look world class. I honestly think we would have beaten the Turkish side I cannot spell after 4 bottles of the finest Urquell. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

If you think that's bad, how do you reckon Southampton feel about Bale? As if it wasnt bad enough that they sold him cheaply, They then went onto sell the 'sell on clause' of 15% a little while later to Spurs for £1.5million. Looks like they have given up a further 8-12 million on that deal.

They can blame Dave Jones too as he managed them a decade previously :old:

As i said on another thread this morning - If we were able to have kept him, when on loan here -

We would have gone up that season ( IMO ) :ayatollah:
