Man City Sunday

Wed Aug 21, 2013 8:48 am

It seems many people on here are resigned to defeat on sunday. Yes its going to be difficult, yes they are a good side full of star players and internationals.......but I dont want to go sunday and watch us play pretty football and shaking hands with everyone while losing 4-1. As in most sports ,some of which ive played, when you are up against better players you have to give yourself an edge, upset people, get in their faces, put them off their game and drag them into a battle.Lets make the atmosphere hostile and hope the players feed off it and get stuck in. Stoke done it at home for a few years and we need to do it sunday. Then even if the result goes against us nobody will be looking forward to a trip to Cardiff........ :ayatollah:

Who cares who they are. we are a premier league club and lets start showing that mentality whoever the opposition is, personally I would expect Malky to tell them to go out there to express and enjoy themselves. Lets move the ball quicker in attack and try to get someone in behind them and cause them a few posers. If we lose 4-2 5-1 6-3 at least the players will gain some belief that they had a attacking edge and can score and create chances. Confidence and mental strength is what is needed now and a collectiveness of defending when required.

A good example to your point would be the famous Leeds game. I can't remember going into that game ever thinking we would lose. Also the cup final v Liverpool. We just got to do our part as fans.

Still think we're getting rapped though :laughing6:
