That just half the problem. If we play narrow like we did Saturday, we will also have Zabaleta bombing forward too just like they did last night. We need to play a winger who will track back to help out.

Conway and Cowie on the wings to counter this or how about playing Brayford on the right side of midfield as he has the pace and engine to bomb up and down plus he has the defensive capabilities?

No point in man marking Navas out of the game but just need to make sure he doesn't get a yard room when he picks up the ball otherwise he will just be gone.

Can see where you are coming from with Brayford in midfield. Malky might be thinking roughly the same as he played Taylor in midfield for a pre season game.

HOW WILL TAYLOR COPE WITH ANY PREMIERSHIP WINGER RUNNING AT HIM

Everyone is forgetting Bellamy, all been slating him on here lately still has masses of pace, will track back all day and should provide taylor/John with a good amount of help and why would you be putting brayford in midfield when navas plays on the right, would be wasting a midfield position that we can't afford to loose, could play noone there who is a proper pacey winger

Agree with the Bellamy comment but if he keep cutting inside like he did Saturday , Taylor with be two on one before we can blink. Navas plays on the right so that why I said Malky could use Taylor in front of John because he did it pre season.

Yeah fair enough, but they were talking about brayford earlier and that is a waste of a midfield position, I think Bellamy will understand what is needed of him, he is very aware and knows what's going on, he will know that he needs to adjust for this game and will do the job

You're right it would be a waste. I think Bellamy will be right up for this game. We need him to be on top form and run up and down that line like we know he can. We need Zabaleta to think twice about booming forward and Bellamy on top form would do that

Totally agree with that

Any defender in the league will struggle against him. My only words for u all is 'have faith' the boys will do a good job. Id like to keep john left back?

So would I, think he has the pace to keep up

And of course milner could give our other flank problems so Conway and Cowie is a good call

There is no way to deal with it. We need a little bit of luck and pray to Jesus......

Dont forget noone, got pace, skilful and think he go be a hit with a wider field, bellamy on the other kimbo behind cornelius and campbell and medel in front of defence, gunner as right back, connely and caulker in center and taylor or declan left back! Think we could do some damage playing like that!

this is all a bit silly, cowie and conway on the wings?? whats the point?
even if we keep navas and silva quiet (unlikely) there is still the small matter of the best Cm in the league in Yaya, not to mention a 30/40 million pound striker.
Id rather see someone like noone play on the wing, and at least go for it on the rare occasions we have possession.
our only chance to get anything out of the game is to defend heroically, last ditch challenges, superb saves, goal line clearances etc etc, and they hopefully sneak a goal on the counter or from a set piece.
