Time to Make Some Noise

Tue Aug 20, 2013 11:59 am

This weekend, we really need to get the stadium rocking and make it as intimidating as possible for other teams to attend. Other teams over the years have made their stadiums a fortress and this has helped them stay in the Premier League. I can remember back when Stoke got promoted in 2008, on match of the day most weeks when Stoke played home they'd mention the noise the crowd made, and even got a decibel monitor to see how loud and intimidating a place it was to play at.

Most people wonder how much of a difference a crowd can make, but I can tell you from experience it makes a hell of a difference. When playing a rugby tournament once when I was younger as one of the weaker teams, we were playing the best team in our final game and if we'd beaten them, another team who didn't usually win would have won the tournament. Now, we had the whole tournament of teams behind us, cheering us on and creating an incredible atmosphere, and I can tell you it gave myself and our team a huge adrenaline buzz and we completely dominated the game, totally driven on by the fans around us.

I think its all agreed that our home form is going to be detrimental to our survival, so let's get behind the team and in the words of our announced Ali: "Come on, support the boys, and MAKE SOME NOOOOOOISE" this weekend. :malky: :ayatollah:

There's going to be a lot of disappointed people if they think we will make the CCS a fortress. Don't think we can make it like Ninian Park.

I think it's still possible to make enough noise in the CCS to try and create a bigger atmosphere. People just need to sing a bit more and not just at kick off or when we score...
