Doubt it. His total erosion of the blue is evidence enough that he doesn't want to compromise.

what if he now realises his mistake and is looking for a way out, maybe just maybe a compromise could be his way out.just a thought.

Then he wouldn't dismiss the blue in the way that he has. The rebrands getting worse, not better. Less blue around than ever.

As I've already explained, I don't feel it could be reached. Anyway, red and blue is just as alien to CCFC as black and red.

It's probably the best that can be hoped for at the moment.

By way of background, I am a Cardiff City fan of quite a few years. I started supporting the club when Carl Dale, Steve White etc. were playing for us. I now live abroad but read this forum and the CCMB from time to time. However, I have never posted...until now.
The reason I am posting is really to share with you my exasperation with the re-branding of the club. I tried to purchase a Blue replica kit from the Club Shop this week but see that it is still not available and the entire website, and all the products within it, are red. I am sure that there are people on here who are bored with discussions around this but I am not. Rather, I am saddened by the response of the fans to the re-branding.
As yet, all I have seen is a petition, a march and a few meetings. Whilst these are I'm sure well intentioned, I am not sure what they acheive. All of these relatively small-time efforts to date have been completely ignored by Vincent Tan and the management of the club. To be clear, I have a great deal of respect for the people involved in these efforts but simply think that they are ineffective.
So what do I suggest?
(1) Create an Achievable Goal. Vincent Tan is never going to bring back the blue kit entirely. However, I think that making a clear demand for a mixed blue and red kit (whether that is the shorts being Blue like Spain or parts of the short being Blue like Crystal Palace) could appeal to Vincent Tan. The BU campaign features only blue. If instead it were to feature both blue and red and focus more on uniting all fans of the club, I think this might be appealing to Vincent Tan and allow his to make the change without loosing face.
(2) Create an Effective Campaign. Vincent Tan will only pay attention if there is a well-orchastrated and innovative media campaign around the issue. One idea would be to create a campaign in Malaysia which changes the colours of their national team's kit. Another idea would be to ask supporters of away clubs to come to the stadium wearing Blue in support of the cause. Whatever it is, it has to be innovative and it needs to catch the attention of the global media. If not, Vincent Tan will simply not pay any attention.
Finally, I often read the views of people who say that Vincent Tan should be respected because he has invested in the club as if he is some sort of selfless investor. He expects to receive back every single pound that he has put in and he probably will. His threats to leave are not to be taken seriously. He won't leave until he is in a position to recoup his money which is not now. The club was here before he came and will remain here after he has left. People need to wake up and realise that the club is the real asset - a capital city with a huge catchment area and potential to expand. When Vincent Tan decides to sell, others will be ready to buy.
Peace out,

Peace out,
Well intentioned post and I can see you have given it some thought. But honestly resistance is futile with regard to the rebrand and relying on a country to change its colours and getting Man United fans to wear blue is never going to happen as they simply have no interest in Cardiff City and it internal problems.
Also the formation of BU has been a shambles and whilst I accept that Sian Branson and the rest of the organisers are good people and well intentioned they have been badly let down by the militant fundamentalist on their social media sites who just want to post bile and hate towards a man who for whatever reason has transformed CCFC in more ways than just the rebrand.
Cardiff City being a sleeping giant with fantastic potential was identified well before now but in the past only Sam Hammam and asset stripping private companies have shown any interest.
This time VT has a plan to break into the Asian market and for that we need to be red (so he tells us). I'm not saying that I'm happy with being red but reality is it can't be done otherwise (they are the terms laid down by VT) and no-one has ever produced even a basic business plan to the contrary.
Finally 90% of fans are happy to go along with the changes provide they benefit CCFC. That is where the small minority differ with the rest. They are not interested in what happens after they force a reversing of the rebrand, they just want to do it.

Refusing to buy the red merchandise would have hurt his pocket, and possibly seen a rethink on his part.
