" SOME GOOD NEWS "

Mon Aug 19, 2013 3:49 pm

Cardiff City v Man City should reach 27,000 after segregation, as I post this, City are still adding seats where ever thy can find space, so fingers cross, 27,000

As you all know, some players have used us a stepping stone to try and get bigger clubs interested in them.

But Malky is still 24/7 looking to strengthen and is negotiating to bring at least 2 more players in before the transfer dead line, no matter what my opinions of Vincent Tan are, he has made an abundance of money available to Malky to strengthen, its down to the players to want to sign for us, but Malky is not giving up

I think this is a pretty key statement as to why we will be okay and survive.

Players who are at the club now, and would be seeking a top 5 club in the future will want to show what they're all about, this drives great performances, and hopefully bring the average performances of other players up with it.

We can't really rely on loyalty until we become an established PL club

Edit: Oh and thats great news about there being 27k fans inside the CSS may I add :)

we need montero or a pacy winger bigtime. you only have to look out west and see what the jacks have done with dyer and routledge, didnt cost the world and you could say had failed at bigger clubs. lets hope we get him by sunday.

Add a row next to the subs bench. :ayatollah:

Saints signing Osvaldo sets the bench mark. We could have done with someone like him or similar on a cut price. I don't think two is enough. We need a LB, CB, Winger and a Striker.

Need at least 3 or 4 players in to survive imo.

the players "using us as a stepping stone" need to prove themselves with us first, starting with man city on sunday. These are the games where you can seriously put yourself in the shop window by putting in good shifts against top players

Lets hope these players come in asap, they are needed. Looking at the fixtures earlier and we will be scrapping week in week out. Lets hope these players who want to use us as a stepping stone put 150% in every week to showcase their talent

How many lines of segregation are we having do you know ??
We should have two or three rows at maximum filled with Stewards like most other grounds, Surely no need for a large block like last season.

You could even call Man United a stepping stone club as they couldn't keep Cristiano Ronaldo when Real Madrid came calling, ditto Spurs with Gareth Bale. Nothing new there but as a poster said above they have to prove themselves first if they want a move onto a bigger club.

Well at least some of those £40 gold members will get a ticket for this one

Just 2? He needs 5 or hes gonna lose his job.

Harsh but true.

Certainly at least four, five even better, if last Sundays performance is anything to go by.

I said before, any current player not up to the standards will stand out like a sore thumb, in this unforgiving Premier league.

Hmm, if we get 5 more in then basically we have a new team for the PL....does that mean the team spirit from last season is gone? Does that matter?
Is that the reality of moving to PL or should there be some form of homage to the players who won promotion?

Think we need to get the balance right though
Too many new players and no guarantee they will gel
We have only played one game ffs
West hame 7th best home record in premiership last year what do we expect
Lets let malky and our squad have a chance
Look at the positives
Medel looked good
Whitts looked back to some form cambell tried hard with no supply
Coulker looked better as the game went on
When we played some football not hoofball we looked better
We have a squad
Brayford , hudson , taylor ,,cornelous,, noone ,,,mutch malky can bring them in if feels the need
And finally as i post we just got out of the bottom three
That will help take a bit of pressure off the players
We fans must be realistic when we play the top teams and must keep supporting malky and the boys :ayatollah:

Think Saturday was slightly over exaggerated in terms of what we need to bring in.. I think we need 3 players.

Cowie.....Smith....have to go simple as that! No room for Malky's Blue eyes, what happened to his statement about being ruthless in the cut before Premier league debut!?

This.

There's no way 4/5 players will be coming. 1 definatley, 2 maybe.
No need to panic IMO.
