Seen the lad play many times and I really think he offers a direct threat to the opposition.
Now some people would say he is too young, personally I think he should get a chance in the EPL, the dilemma being when to play him?
Any thoughts................?

If he plays him too early and it doesn't work he'll get lambasted for putting the lad out to dry. I'd like to see us a get a few points on the board then give him the odd chance from the bench. I'd expect him to play next midweek.

I'd like to see him on the bench. He's an attacking, pacey winger, and we don't have many of them at the moment. Chuck him on for 20 minutes in 2-3 games - if he's completely out of his depth, loan him out. No brainer to me (unless we sign 2 more wingers before the window closes).

Good suggestion. I really think he would cause the opposition problems. Look at Zaha for example, to me he is overated but it does show that given a chance, these youngsters can surprise!!

Too early to chuck him in at the deep end. Could do bad mentally if he starts off bad and doesn't perform feeling he won't make it. We need to go for someone that is young but experienced

How old is declan john? Didnt stop malky giving him a go! I agree he has pace to burn, has beefed up and could surprise us.maybe malky sees something with harris that is not right yet? But i think he could cause havoc from the bench.

We are desperate for pace and width at the moment. Why not give Noone and Harries a run out. Nothing ventured nothing gained. Ideally we will have another quality wide man in soon.

hopefully see him in the cup games, if he does well, introduce him against the lesser opponents first?

Put him on the bench v Hull I reckon.

I always think that there isn't much pressure on youngsters when they're attacking players. I know it sounds a bit odd, but imagine if Declan John had had an awful game on the weekend, and as a direct consequence of his mistakes, we conceded two goals. Although I like to think people would have gone easy on him as a youngster, it still would have shattered his confidence.
If Harris was playing and made a couple of mistakes, what would have happened? Mistakes in attacking positions rarely lead to conceding goals - they normally end up with attacks fizzling out. He would have just been a bit anonymous - that's much less likely to damage his confidence. If that happens every time, let's just loan him out to a Championship side till January and see how he gets one.
Put simply, if we don't sign a winger by the weekend, I'll be really disappointed not to see him on the bench. If we're 2-0 down, give him a run out. Can't hurt - it's about time we see if he can recreate his dev form in senior games.

Personally would sooner see noone conway and mason first.
Haris loked sharp pre season but so did noone. Maybe accrington would be a good plave to start

I think
KADEEM Harris could have a call up to the first team but not in the first half of the season as during this time I'd send him on loan.
Mon Aug 19, 2013 7:18 pm
Too early to chuck him into the deep ends. Leeds did with Aaron Lennon and Liverpool did with Sterling and both are good enough now so giving Harris a shot would do us no harm at all. I'd put him on the bench and if we go 2 or 3 nil down stick him on in the second half to give in a shot.

Play him, absolute no brainer. He has pace and he's bang on form. Why bother signing him if he's never any hope of playing? This is where Malky gets it wrong IMO. Not prepared to shake it up. Walcott etc were tearing things up much younger than Kadeem.
GIVE HIM A GO!!!

Any one know how hes doing tonight against ipswich?
Mon Aug 19, 2013 8:16 pm
Don't know why people are saying he is too young, he's 20 and needs to be playing first team football at that age, he also played plenty of first team in division 3 so size and strength should not be a issue
To be honest though i would send out on loan to a championship team if a offer come in and see how he copes
Mon Aug 19, 2013 8:18 pm
He deserves a go on the bench IMO

I am a great believer in the petulance of youth.
It's obviously early days and I would not have a go at the players this early but they are fully aware of the magnitude of what they are up against and many of them seemed scared to get things wrong.
You do not get that with youth. Harris would be cocky and sometimes that is what you need. Declan John didn't look overawed on Saturday.

Play him or get rid. We are still waiting for Rudy to mature according to some of the football experts on this forum. Give the lad a chance. He's better than a lot of the players that played against the Garnetts
Mon Aug 19, 2013 9:31 pm
he should be on the bench every week if fit, we have 7 subs and can only use 3 so why not put on the bench to see how he does..
Tue Aug 20, 2013 9:41 am
The question I'd like to add to this is do we have a more threatening winger with trickery and pace to burn?
We seriously lacked pace and width against The Hammers.
I'd definitely play Harris for the 2nd half when defenders are tiring. The lad's in goal scoring form and will give defenders something different to worry about.

Malky simply cannot experiment in the Prem he has be 100% sure about every player he puts out, as every game is a cup final.
The sad fact is instant success is demanded these days, by fans and owners, so in Britain young talent never or rarely gets developed.
Only way to succeed is to spend spend spend, there is no other option at this level
Tue Aug 20, 2013 10:26 am
we will have to sign him first our KADEEM harris should be on bench vs hull

Harris should play, he will have more of an impact with us compared to that Gayle at Palace, and how much was Gayles transfer?
I know they are different positions but we got a gem in Harris, and there are clubs payin that money for the same level of player.

Glad to see the lad is at last getting a chance.
I know he cannot do it alone, but I do feel that he has to start every game now................thoughts
