Well if one of them deserves to get dropped after Saturday its Kimbo.
Whitts dead balls were good, and he was one of the few who didnt panic in posession whilst Kim was at fault for the 1st goal, lost posession nearly every time he had it, and his decision making was poor (Should have slipped Bellamy in instead of shooting from 25 yards).
Away from home I agree we cannot afford the two of them in midfield, they are too lightweight but at home I would have Whitts alongside Medel and given more licence to break than Gary, then Kimbo in between Whitts and the striker.

Kim is our best midfielder but he's not a winger.
Against man city
I would go with
Noone/ new winger
Medel
Gunner
Bellers
Kimbo
Cornelius
Against lesser teams gunner can be replaced with Whitts but v man city we need more protection.

I thought Whitty had a reasonable game against WH - he seemed to be getting stuck in wherever he could. I personally think it's too early to tell whether or not they can play together though.

We played:
Bellamy, Kim Bo, Gunnarsson, Medel & Whittingham in midield as a 5
Campbell played the lone striker...

From watching it it seemed to me Kim was on the wing with Whitts as the CAM?

Whitts always plays slightly ahead of the other midfielders..
With Medel & Gunnar playing, Whitts would always be playing slightly forward.. Kim Bo was playing central midfield next to Bellamy though

Game I watched Gunnar and Medel in front of back four with Bellers (right) Kim (floating) and Whitts (left) in front of them.
Whitts started going centre 2nd half and picking ball up because Gunnar had become non existant.
