We cannot defend against this lot. One player up front on his own will be isolated meaning they will have far too much time at the back to play it out.
Marshall
Brayford
Hudson - a leader is needed
Caulker
Taylor
Bellamy
Mental
Witts
Kimbo
Maynard
Campbell
Subs: Lewis SuperKev Turner Noone Conway Mason Cornelius

I'd start Noone instead of Bellamy, he was gash yesterday

And me. I've got a feeling we may have a new winger in by Sunday

4321 for me, it's going to be a defensive performance against them, but we have the pace to cause them problems when we get the chance to attack.
Not sure what my line up would be though.

Exactly my thoughts only I would start Cornelius instead of Maynard

Yeah. It's got to be 2 up top in my opinion or else the lone striker will get isolated again like Fraizer did saturday. For me it'd be Campbell and Cornelius like you said.

PARK THE BUS for me
Mon Aug 19, 2013 7:05 am
Marshall
Brayford Hudson caulker taylor
Noone medel mutch kim
Campell Cornelius
That's the team I would pick although if we get a new winger I'd have noone on bench.

It wouldn't hurt to play another striker - if West Ham can turn us over with one man up front, Man City will be a lot harder. Realistically, it should have been 3 or 4 nil to the Hammers with the two other clear chances they had.
That said, I hope the boys come out of their shell more against Citeh - as poor as Bellers was on Saturday, they may need him on the field this Sunday just to keep the boys' feet firmly on the ground and show them that Citeh are only human...

If we pay 7.5-8 million for a striker he doesn't sit on the bench. As soon as he's fit he is starting 100%. Can't see us playing 4-4-2 either against Man City.

Thing is we cant defend well enough and we cant contain man city, so 442 is the way to go imo. least campbell and maynard will give there back four something to do, unlike the west ham game. one little man up top is not going to work in this league. Also hudson and brayford to start with noon on for bellamy.

cant believe people are suggesting Kim on the wing!

Simple keep it tight away, have pace on the bench just in case you fall behind and you need pace at home. Pace and width in the Premiership win matches and thats why the Jacks have done so well.
Noone should have been on the bench at West Ham and he should be definitely be involved against Man City. Hopefully we do see Montero join. Pace/width gives you an extra dimension.

I think Cornelious should start, can win the ball when we keep hoofing it clear and hold up play for us.
Mon Aug 19, 2013 12:21 pm
The team you said but ;
Noone for maynard
Cornelius for campbell
4-5-1 , kim is better in centre noone and bellers wingers pushing higher
4-3-2-1 in effect

THIS. In the middle he was our best midfielder last season, out wide he was average in the Championship.

The 4-3 would give them little space to work with and when attacking the 2-1 with support from the three will allow us to have a go.
Much easier to put into practice than it is to explain on here!

3 at the back for me and flood the midfield while still having two up front. if we go 442 they will overun us but 451 is no good coz i cant see us scoring.
