Play him on the left. Full stop!!!!!!!! He is still very capable of doing what Jarvis did to Connolly yesterday.
Most of Beller's outstanding contributions over the years, with numerous teams, has been down the left with his quick ball shift to the byeline and a cross with his left peg. He doesn't have the same balance to do this on the right wing which is further emphasised now that he's not a spring chicken any more. But......... He can still deliver down the left and could provide so many opportunities for Cornelius, Maynard, Campbell.

No one!s really knocking him, just saying he's lost that yard of pace.
Even in the Championship last year you could see it.

Agree, he still has something to offer.

I don't think Bellamy's quite got that touch in front of goal

Bellamy was dreadful, yesterday. Why he insists on taking all the set pieces, I don't know.

Bellamy was a shadow of his former self yesterday. Which means he was either not fit or he's over the top and on both counts shouldn't have played yesterday. We would have been far better served playing a fully fit Conway or Noone. No room for sentiment in the Premier League.

passed his best I fear.

Agree with that the few we had that he took seem to go too low straight towards a West Ham player everytime.

Couldn't work out where he was meant to be playing yesterday.
He certainly wasn't playing out wide. I think he may have been meant to be playing just behind Campbell but he seemed to be all over the place without any real purpose.
Not the best pre season or early season from Craig yet but let's hope he can discover some form quickly.

Unfortunately he is past his best. We all have our opinions and I agree with the said above. He has lost his yard of pace, I'm not sure where we can play him now. He relied on his pace so much for his game, he wasn't clinical enough to be a striker. I agree though give the set pieces to someone else such as Whittingham who can strike the ball cleanly. Bellamy's delivery has been shocking as of late. All he really brings now is dressing room influence

I fear Bellamy is the sort of player who will fade fast once his legs go. Manly because he's built a game on pace and movement and i don't see his technique good enough to warrant a place in a deep lying passing /creative role. Hope he can prove me wrong.

Look you here Boyo's,

Bellamy is going to start playing well, starting with Man City, just been saving himself, first game now gone, watch us go, Bellers included

And i thought this was going to be about his man-boobs...

Reading his book he openly admits that during his career there were times when coasted because of the pain from his knees. You sought of get that feeling now, his knees are so bad he can't perform at his best.

Bellamy is terrible on the wing, he is better striker despite not being the best finisher. Caused hell up front last season.

He looked like a player who played a meaningless mid week match and had tired legs.
