Steve on Thursday morning I would have accepted wheelbarrows to get us there, I got let down on two coaches last Monday that had been booked since June 17th, I spent most of the week phoning (begging and pleading) for two coaches, I must have spoken to 25 or more company's and on Thursday afternoon did I finally get positive answers.

I heard you had an issue with the accelerator cable and wiper blade but I suppose that could happen to a brand new coach too, one bus (not one of ours but one carrying the older lads) had its starter motor repaired during the game by our driver and that bus was relatively new but their passengers were oblivious to the problem as they were in the game.

Hopefully I won't have the stress like I had last week again and there will be a slightly newer bus on display for Fulham ;)

Hope it didn't ruin your day

Got back at 11.45 mate.
We broke down, got lost, had to refuel, then the main wiper arm fell off! :o :laughing6:

Thanks to the other bus following and helping out too! :notworthy:

Carl, appreciate all you (and Jam) do for us, and if it was not for you and others we would not get to the games.
Like you though, I too would have accepted a wheelbarrow prior to the game.
Not having a dig at you mate, hence the smiley at the end of the post.
Most of us were having a laugh about it, and the fact we broke down outside a booze supply and a dominoes helped. :laughing6: :laughing6:

Keep up the good work mate. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Sadly these things happen...

My colleague is currently trying to get to Salzburg with his wipers somewhere outside krems.
He is driving a 13 plate Vanhool.

Even new coaches can encounter defects.

As for the break or break down, were there two drivers? Or one? EU regulation declare that you cannot drive in excess 4 hours and 30 minutes unless there are exceptional circumstances. In the drivers case (his cargo -you guys) he cannot just pull up on a layby and take his Rest period (45mins) he must stop at a area that provide toilets and facilities (services). He is allowed to go beyond 4hr30m to reach this destination. When arrived he must take 45 then declare it on the back if the Tacho Disc or printout.

I have never used NAT, so I don't think you have ever been on a forum trip.
